I have been sent a package for my job which needs to be signed for, but FedEx does not even make an attempt at delivery. I live in a condo which has a front door with an intercom. I could be contacted either by the intercom or by phone to come to the door to sign for the package, but instead they just leave a note saying someone needs to be there to sign for the package and leave, and of course offer no indication of what time they will try and deliver the package so the only way I could be able to receive it would be to wait at the front door the entire day. If you lived in a house were there with no cars in the driveway they would probably just leave the note and not even knock on the door.
