  Our company had been with Proshred for 2 years and 9 months. Another local company had approached us routinely for over a year to try to earn our shredding business. I reached out to ProShred to see about terminating our contract with them, not because of their pricing, or because of their service. But simply because the salesman that routinely and politely got back to us about switching had impressed our office and we wanted to reward his professional persistence with our business. (Not to mention they were 46% cheaper) This company even offered to buy out the final 2 quarters of ProShreds service contract. Upon letting ProShred that we wished to cancel, I got a phone call from a woman who claimed to be the owner of ProShred. I explained why were leaving the same way I did above, and thanked her for past services. Even went as far as to say that if this didn't work out we would come back. Instead of graciously accepting our departure, she went on to question our decision. Belittling the competition. Saying simultaneously that she was not familiar with them, while also stating facts about how they did business in a manner not adequate to ProShred. She continuously stated that she didn't want to be negative, but can't understand why we would leave over the amount in price that we had. I reiterated it wasn't about the lower price, but about salesperson himself. She then stated "well I would be interested to see if he keeps in contact with you after the sale as much as he did before!" Mind you this is not a company that we have regular contact with at all in the nearly 3 years we spent with them. I called them exactly 3 times in 3 years, and every time I called the person that answered did not have the information and had to have someone else call back. I would never do business with this company again after this phone call as it is clear that the company culture is toxic from the top down based on the vicious nature of ownership. Service and price were adequate. Customer relations need an overhaul.
