Instead of calling to verify my mortgage account they paid off an auto loan I had at the same bank. When this mistake was found no accountability was taken on behalf of First American. In fact, all of the blame was placed on me, leaving me with the repercussions (financially) of their mistake. So if you want to rely on professionals to handle your closing, I would not chose this company.
