On Saturday around 4:55 PM, I came in to do a simple drop-off of pre-labeled boxes. The employee on duty refused to accept them and told me I couldn’t leave the packages because “sorting is closed.” There was no effort to offer an alternative process, no explanation of what that means for customers who are literally using FedEx for shipping, and no attempt to help me find a solution. Just a flat “no,” as if I was doing something unreasonable by trying to drop packages at a FedEx location during business hours. I’m not a random walk-in customer—I run a business and we spend **around $100,000 per year** on shipping. Reliability matters. When your team turns away a business customer at the counter with no support, it sends a clear message: **this location does not care about customer service** and leadership isn’t setting the right expectations for how customers should be treated. If “sorting is closed” means you can’t accept drop-offs at certain times, that needs to be **clearly posted** (online and in-store), and staff should be trained to communicate it professionally and offer a real workaround (scheduled pickup guidance, confirmed cutoff times, where to drop after hours, etc.). None of that happened here. The interaction felt like I was being pushed out rather than helped. FedEx is a logistics company—drop-offs are the core service. Turning away packages with an attitude at the end of the day is not acceptable, and it’s enough for me to reconsider using this location entirely unless management fixes the service culture and sets consistent, customer-first standards.

I can’t believe they allow this person to work here with the attitude she gives for no reason to everyone. Everyone deserves a chance but I don’t think there’s anything one can do to change her tune. Management needs to reconsider with her.
