The FedEx’s team member at the store location added wrong dimensions and weights for my packages and billed me excessively for the whole shipment.
Since the packages were picked up within 30 mins of dropping off, I was unable to cancel or verify the details.
After learning about the incorrect information, I tried to cancel the shipment and have it returned to the location so I could pickup and reship from a different location.
But I was not allowed to check on the status of my shipment and having the tracking details with me did not help me even a little bit with locating the packages.
Being unable to reach the appropriate customer support department due to highly inaccurate responses from the IVR agent on the phone left me with no choice but to cancel the whole shipment, and the shipment ended up being returned to my temporary address in NJ when I wanted to ship the packages to TX from the store in NJ.
I was informed by their customer support agent on the phone (1st time i got thru) that there would be a full refund issued since the packages had not travelled or been shipped on the way to the delivery address.
However, after the packages were dropped off at my temporary address, I was told a claim would be filed for the refund and I was not given any details about the claim, including the claim amount which was $500 instead of the original payment of $819.83.
I ended up paying over $820 only to have my shipment go back to where it was taken from in NJ to the store in NJ, to be shipped to the delivery address in TX.
Now my packages are back where I packed them in NJ, I have lost $820 and already being stressed over relocating to TX, I also don’t have any of my packages or belongings with me here in TX.
This is hugely unacceptable for me and it would be the same I believe for anyone expecting FedEx to deliver on the service they stand for.
As such, I will not lie down and take the hit, and fight back to demand what has been taken from me. I should even ask for extra remuneration in terms of the duress this experience has caused me.
For reference, i have added a picture that shows UPS comparative pricing for the same packages which totals close to $630 when i shipped with UPS, +++ they DID NOT screw up and added the correct dimensions and weights for my packages.

Great Service from Vernon! Our file was sent to the wrong location and Vernon went above and beyond to get what we needed right away, despite our error! Uncommon to receive such exceptional customer service these days!!!

Bad experience and no help or work around from the staff. All three computers they have didn’t work with my FedEx account (transaction failed each time). Spent 25mins with customer support which confirmed my account works and has a valid credit card and all should work and that it’s the office’s issue. Had to pay $65 more for ground shipment and process it without an account while having a perfectly working account. Such wasted time and no trust in the FedEx anymore. The clerk lady also said there is no way they could match the account price for this transaction or their boss can’t give me a difference refund once it goes thru etc. Surely there is a way to make this better for a customer, but the staff just didn’t feel like they should go above and beyond. I understand this is not their fault at large, so writing this as a warning to others: your shipment might not go thru here even if you’re a FedEx customer / account holder.
Will be tracking my shipment closely now 😎
