- GMGreg MOct 7, 20252.0Day-to-day functionality and basic transactions at the branches are pretty good. My debit card quit working. The chip could not be read when I tried using it nor would the swipe function work. After calling corporate find out what the best option was to get a new card, I was told to go to a local branch and they would give it to me immediately. Went to a branch and they told me that it was $5 charge to get a new card. They said even though it wasn't my fault, that's LTCU policy. BUT, there is no charge once the card expires and I have to get a new card. I understand paying if I lost or the card malfunction was my fault. But it was a problem with the card. After I complained enough, they waived the fee.
