Sounds like they are having the same problems that extends throughout the USPS post offices. It appears that delivery is the weakest link in the chain. All said, my experience with this branch was completely favorable. I was a tourist needing to mail a very large book I bought (Maine has the best bookstores!) I stopped by on my way to Portland, got a mailer and took it to the clerk. Everything worked flawless. Postage was attached, I paid and my receipt had the USPS tracking code. I mailed it by Media Mail which is the cheapest and slowest. My receipt showed I dropped it off at 10am Friday, Sep 26, and it arrived in my mailbox in PA today, Sep 29. What else can you hope for? Clerk was friendly and polite, but so was I which I think helps.

If I could give them a negative number I would! These ppl are the worst! I am standing in my driveway, literally looking at this fool and she drives off when I check my mail I have a note saying my mailbox is full and my packages can't be delivered! I also have a note say I need to sign. I created an account and signed electronically so I would not have to physically be home. This is the 5th time in 4 months this sub par behavior has happened. This is ridiculous! Can't wait to go in tomorrow!!!! Oh and yesterday they left my packages out in the rain! I have a covered porch!!! The UPS person figured out how to open the damn door. Apparently this person isn't smart enough to figure that out!

It's very rare that I write negative reviews. I usually just let it go and move on. But for context, I was in the Navy and traveled all over the country, used various postal services at multiple locations and this is by far the worst post office I have ever been to in the US There are some tiny little post offices in incredibly rural areas that do a better job than this one does. I've had packages sent here that get returned to sender for no reason, they close my postal box without warning, causing all of the packages I had sent to it, including my passport, to get returned to sender. If you're thinking about getting a PO box here, don't. If you're a Brunswick local like me, just go to the Freeport post office or go to Portland, this place isn't even worth your time and will offer you nothing but heartache and inconvenience. Keep in mind that I'm a very patient guy and I'm very understanding of how hard customer service jobs can be... But there is no excuse for the kind of mismanagement I have experienced in the year that I have been with this post office. Honestly, if it were possible to give less than a star, I would do so. Shout out to Matt though, probably one of the most helpful postal workers I've interacted with. He was the only person that would help me every single time I ran into these kind of issues, where is everybody else just treated me like a massive inconvenience and I watched them do the same to at least six people waiting in line to mail packages when I sat in a chair and waited for an hour to be helped.

No one ever answers the phone. Every time I order a package that has a tracking number it is delayed and always states “being held at post office upon customer request”???? It has happened the last 3 times. I’ve never requested it be held. I’m told that is their auto wording when package placed on incorrect mail delivery vehicle.
