- PKPaul KinnucanOct 13, 20255.0I needed to replace the name and host port of my sailboat located on its stern. The lettering had been partially buffed off by my overzealous marina. Mayo Designs was recommended by the marina to replace the lettering. May Designs presented me with two designs, one longer lasting than the other but more expensive. I chose the longer lasting one, hoping that it will better resist future furious buffing. Two people from May Designs came down to the marina, removed the old lettering, and applied the new lettering. They were cheerfully tolerant of my kibitzing. I was happy with the result. But the owner, Kerri Miller, was not as happy. Sometime later she informed me that the outline of three letters of the port name was "slightly thicker" than she liked it to be. She asked my permission to redo it, which of course I was happy to do. Based on my experience, you cannot go wrong with Mayo Designs.
