They need to close that place before someone gets SA'd while waiting on any of those lazy clerks to answer the buzz. Random unhoused individuals coming up to you as you shift through documents containing personal address is not my idea of quality service. Lady with the short gray hair ignored buzzers then was rude to everyone. Just retire. We had to pay for parking we didn't need funky attitude and bad customer service, even if it was free.

The front desk clerk could use a refresher course in customer service. Instead of greeting you and asking how she can help, she immediately starts shouting commands at you. While I was patiently waiting for the customers in front of me to finish, she kept yelling at me to 'bring your envelope here!' even though I wasn't just dropping off an envelope and was perfectly content to wait my turn. She never asked, "are you just dropping off?" She might benefit from a training that teaches her to ask questions that help her know what the customer needs help with. Most days I have the patience for her, but today was just too much. I'm ready to start going to a different location to avoid her.

I've been to this post office at least a half a dozen times over the last 3 months and I've always had a good experience, each time handled by 'Catherine' who's obviously totally focused, knowledgable and cares about her customers. She's aware of the line out front and who's standing in it. Yesterday she actually asked a man to leave until he could wear a required mask, he was way down the line and I was amazed she even saw him as busy as she was. (He returned shortly wearing one.) She also advised me once that I was using a regular Priority Box and that I could use a Flat Rate box instead to save money. I can't see behind the wall at the front counter, but I can tell these guys are bust'n their butts getting it done –at least her. I know it's not across the board because I've heard the horror stories in other places, but like most other frontline workers, I know they're probably overworked more than other government workers, so I try to give 'em a break by being as pleasant and patient as possible. Honestly, I don't know how they do it. Anyway, big kudos to Catherine. She's a credit to her profession.

This location is a beautiful old building going to ruin and the customer service matches that theme.
