I wanted to set up a service with our local Camping World (Huber Heights, OH). My wife called a couple of times and left messages for someone to call us. No responses, she tried again and when someone did pick up, she said they were short and someone would call her back. No one did. I had a day off and so I stopped by to make an appointment. I made it for 11 Nov at 1100, but the computers were down (or so he said). Once the computers came back up, he would put us in the system. I needed the axels greased, a small leak fixed and new tires. A couple of days before our appointment, we called to confirm. Guess what, no appointment. They said they would get us in but they do not do tires. Why not tell me that when I made the appointment (or did he just put it on a paper to throw it away after I left?)? With all the trouble we had, why would I leave it with them now? My wife and I have been looking to upgrade to a fifth-wheel, but I will no longer be looking at Campers World. We have some other options, a little further away, but are looking for our business. I suggest not going to Campers World and look for other options for your camping needs. Amazon maybe for one…

I purchased a camper from Camping World's Lewisville, Texas location and the experience has been nothing short of alarming. I was assured the camper was in great condition, I later discovered minor issues, and serious safety issues like undercarriage rust, worn out tires, disintegrating brakes. When I requested inspection and service records, the dealership repeatedly failed to provide them and the regional manager Terry, claimed I needed a subpoena for these documents.
This lack of transparency and refusal to provide basic information along with a remedy has been incredibly frustrating. Even after multiple attempts to escalate the issue they have not been cooperative. I expected better customer service, honesty, especially since it involved safety and negligence.
In my experience I believe salesman should not be taken at there word. They will say anything even if its incorrect. Make sure everything is written down and signed by both parties and receive copies, also get a new and used camper inspected by a third party somebody not associated with camping world for obvious reasons, and most importantly ask for all prior documentation upfront , reconditioning slip, predelivery inspection sheet as they clearly will not hand them over readily.
Additionally, I would never EVER be a repeat customer of camping world. Check out the reviews for BBB, Facebook pages, trustpilot, Reddit, google, and yelp. Buyers BEWARE!!
Safety is clearly not important to them as long as they get a sale. I cant post photos yet but I will be happy to post them when this is all over. The photos speak for themselves!
I traded in my van for an RV but I and Kenosha location forgot to give me my license plates. They never called me to come get them or didn't mail them to me. I just got off the phone with one of Marcus assistants and she told me whenever a trade is done everything in and on vehicle is there properly. Well the plates were in my name so its not your properly and your associates most likely threw them away! Again the plates are not your property and you had no right to destroy or throw them away! I asked to be reimbursed for MY plates but was told no. This is very poor customer service and never will I ever do business with your crap company again!

Disappointed with Service Delays & Communication
Camping World – Lincoln, NE
I brought my camper to Camping World because the cable on the slide-out broke. It took three weeks just to get it scheduled and dropped off for service. When I left it, I was told it would be about four weeks before they could even get to the repair. It’s now been six weeks and I still have zero updates.
I’ve tried calling multiple times for a status, and haven’t received a single call back. The lack of communication and follow-through has been incredibly frustrating.
This has been a very poor experience after purchasing a camper through Camping World, and I wouldn’t recommend relying on their service department based on what I’ve gone through. I truly hope they improve their process and communication, because right now it’s unacceptable

Don’t go to camping world of Greenville, it’s legit a huge waste of time and a nightmare. The staff was super sketchy/creepy. One of them hit on me and was superrrr creepy with sweaty hands, LOL. Trying to finance through them is complete freaking nightmare as well. I found a camper I REALLY liked. The online price stated it was $10,399 with an additional discount listed as “unlock the lowest price.” They took NOTHING off that price. Tell me why they gave me a bill of sale which, I have provided a pic of below as the camper listed at $12,389 (this is just the camper price on their bull crap bill of sale ticket, lol). I also listed the online price which still sits today in the photo below.. My final bill of sale was $12,658 and that’s WITH A DOWN PAYMENT of $1,000. Mind you I had nothing additionally added to the camper. This was an as is sell. UMMM CAN YOU SAY FALSE ADVERTISING?!?! The online price listed it at $10,399 with an additional discount due to the sell that allegedly had going. I got there at 2:40pm, had my camper picked out and credit application filled out by 3:50pm. Still no answer when they closed at 6pm. I left at 6:20pm. They have YET to call me today to let me know anything. Just don’t waste your time here, they are crooks that falsely advertise. Financing through them is a freaking nightmare. The staff have no idea what they are doing I feel, none of them. You’re better off going to your bank getting you a cashiers check and going to another seller because this place is a joke. LITERALLY!
