Worst place to deal with would not recommend this place to anyone. If you're going to buy do not buy a Forest River. In my experience it is the worst travel trailer on the market. Nothing but problems from day one. Camping world was one of the problems. Purchase the unit at the RV show in the shower curtain was broke when it was purchased they said no problem they would have it fixed before we picked it up in 2 weeks. We traveled from New Jersey to the RV show in Manassas Virginia. The unit was sent to Thornburg for us to pick up after the RV show and they were going to fix the shower curtain there. Drove 6 hours back from New Jersey to pick it up because they said it was ready. When we arrived nothing has been fixed on the trailer they then went out and tried to fix it while we were there and destroyed it. So they asked us to take it with us back to New Jersey and they would send the parts to the camping world in Lakewood New Jersey which was an hour and a half 2 hours away. We agreed to that that was the first mistake actually it was the second mistake the first mistake was buying from camping world and purchasing a Forest River.

I purchased a dryer from a camping world store in Kansas City it was the only thing my wife asked for for Christmas truthfully we didn't have the money I had to borrow half the money from a relative and now it's 12 days to Christmas and I have a broken dryer and no recourse to fix it
I have four kids and my wife is pregnant this Rv is our only living situation we took it south for the winter because I work as a day Laborer and have no work in Kansas from December - March
On December 4th i made an online order for local pickup at my Kansas city store , the salesman showed me an open-box dryer, stating it was returned because it was too big for the previous buyer’s RV. I agreed to take it, as everything seemed fine at first glance, and I didn’t want to cause the man that assisting me in loading it extra work. I installed it in my RV.
By December 13th, nine days later, I attempted to use the dryer while staying in my RV. It immediately made a loud grinding sound that worsened throughout the cycle.
I contacted the corporate number, and they assured me it could be exchanged at any Camping World location. However, I visited three different locations today, and they all refused to exchange it. They suggested returning it to the store where I purchased it, which is 800 miles away.
Each store gave me the runaround, refusing to help. They suggested bringing it in for a diagnostic, which costs $190 per hour and might take 1-2 hours, or more, without knowing the issue. I questioned why I should pay for this on a clearly defective machine that has only run for ten minutes. I also expressed frustration about dealing with the manufacturer’s warranty, as it should be their responsibility to resolve the issue with their supplier.
From reading reviews about this company and checking with every location I could, it’s evident they shouldn’t be in business and seem indifferent to their customers Every response was to check with their manager, passing responsibility. The one time I spoke with a manager, she seemed aware of my calls and insisted I couldn't get around it and would have to pay the $190 per hour to confirm the dryer was broken.
Can't recommend avoiding them more strongly
Update 12/15/25 now it’s truly broken and will not function attempted to use it since camping world didn’t want to help and just about caught fire I could smell the heat coming from the dryer luckily didn’t catch fire
Again camping world has been completely unhelpful

I wanted to set up a service with our local Camping World (Huber Heights, OH). My wife called a couple of times and left messages for someone to call us. No responses, she tried again and when someone did pick up, she said they were short and someone would call her back. No one did. I had a day off and so I stopped by to make an appointment. I made it for 11 Nov at 1100, but the computers were down (or so he said). Once the computers came back up, he would put us in the system. I needed the axels greased, a small leak fixed and new tires. A couple of days before our appointment, we called to confirm. Guess what, no appointment. They said they would get us in but they do not do tires. Why not tell me that when I made the appointment (or did he just put it on a paper to throw it away after I left?)? With all the trouble we had, why would I leave it with them now? My wife and I have been looking to upgrade to a fifth-wheel, but I will no longer be looking at Campers World. We have some other options, a little further away, but are looking for our business. I suggest not going to Campers World and look for other options for your camping needs. Amazon maybe for one…

I purchased a camper from Camping World's Lewisville, Texas location and the experience has been nothing short of alarming. I was assured the camper was in great condition, I later discovered minor issues, and serious safety issues like undercarriage rust, worn out tires, disintegrating brakes. When I requested inspection and service records, the dealership repeatedly failed to provide them and the regional manager Terry, claimed I needed a subpoena for these documents.
This lack of transparency and refusal to provide basic information along with a remedy has been incredibly frustrating. Even after multiple attempts to escalate the issue they have not been cooperative. I expected better customer service, honesty, especially since it involved safety and negligence.
In my experience I believe salesman should not be taken at there word. They will say anything even if its incorrect. Make sure everything is written down and signed by both parties and receive copies, also get a new and used camper inspected by a third party somebody not associated with camping world for obvious reasons, and most importantly ask for all prior documentation upfront , reconditioning slip, predelivery inspection sheet as they clearly will not hand them over readily.
Additionally, I would never EVER be a repeat customer of camping world. Check out the reviews for BBB, Facebook pages, trustpilot, Reddit, google, and yelp. Buyers BEWARE!!
Safety is clearly not important to them as long as they get a sale. I cant post photos yet but I will be happy to post them when this is all over. The photos speak for themselves!
