I want to start with an enthusiastic "YES, Tina Curtis of Curtis E Organizing is a HUGE asset if you need help pulling together your living space!" And she is. But that doesn't help you understand WHY you really want to hire Tina of Curtis E Organizing to help you with your organization. So here's my story. When we moved, I thought I had a plan for organizing my sewing room. I had measured and planned and I thought I'd thought it all through. But it was a disaster--fabrics and boxes everywhere, it felt like the walls were closing in on me, and I would just go down there, get overwhelmed, and give up. I started asking sewing friends if they knew any organizers who wouldn't start with "You need to get rid of 75% of your stuff" and I knew that finding an organizer who had experience in hobby spaces, which are not really the same as your closet or kitchen, was difficult. Tina Curtis was highly recommended, and, bless her heart, was NOT intimidated on her consultation visit by the scale of the project. She helped me reimagine the space so that all of the features I wanted to include were addressed, has been instrumental in making it all come to fruition, and has kept me on task, which is no small feat with my challenges with staying focused. At the end of every session, we develop a list of the tasks we'd like to see completed by the next session, and that helps me focus my energy and attention and actually make the progress needed. However, she is understanding if things get in the way and we need to tackle some of those tasks on her next visit. She's hands-on and has sometimes tackled the tasks that overwhelmed me (like sorting and organizing fabrics by color) and caused me to stall, allowing me to focus on the tasks that I personally need to make decisions about. While she did NOT come in and suggest I purge 75% of my fabric collection, she did encourage me to really evaluate whether I needed everything I had or if there were things that could be donated or passed along in order to make more space for something else I wanted to bring in. In doing so, I did choose to part with some of my fabric, and my quilt guild benefitted from the donations, so I know the fabric that no longer needed to take up space in MY home went to a good home. For things that I didn't need but also didn't know what to do with, she's directed me to organizations and charities that might be able to use them. Tina is VERY patient, comes up with creative solutions, and, if I say I want to do this or that, she helps me find a way to make that happen. At our appointment right before the holidays, she arrived to find me in the middle of a few projects that had nothing to do with my sewing room but everything to do with my increasing stress level, and we handled them together and quickly--once we identified the REAL problem, we brainstormed solutions that didn't involve a trip to the store, solving the problem with items I had in the basement that were as-yet unused (leftover from the previous house). While I know I still have some organization issues in my home office and a few other places that are much smaller in scale, the techniques Tina has employed in the sewing room and helped me to learn will help me in those other places as well. I have no doubt her skills would even be more helpful in "regular" home spaces, but the fact that she was willing to tackle a hobby space like mine (no small task) proved to me that she has the skills to tackle ANY situation. Her encouragement and enthusiasm keeps me motivated, and that's a huge benefit as well.

Tina has done a fantastic job helping me organize my house. She has made me realize that I was holding on to a lot of things that had no functional value to me or my family. Not only that, when deciding to discard items she had suggestions readily available on where to donate them. Thanks to her, I know what I have and can easily find things when I need them! Now that my house is done, my daughter is excited to use her services next.

Tina is very thorough, but efficient and concise. She prepared an appeal letter to Medicare for me that was successful upon submission. Her ability to make sense of and organize medical and government paperwork into an understandable form was amazing. Her judgement and reasoning are sound and practical. Her fees are very reasonable. I highly recommend her.

Tina was recommended to us to clean out our dad‘s house when he went in the nursing home. It was an overwhelming task and much more than we could handle ourselves. Tina accepted the job and was extremely thorough. She went above and beyond our expectations and had all of the right connections to sell things that needed to be sold and dispose of the remainder. She even helped us sell the vehicles.
Tina is a very caring and trustworthy person and made this difficult situation a lot easier for us. We are forever grateful for her and highly recommend her!

Tina is a friend and we can sit and chat over coffee for more than an hour easily. But, when it comes to work she is all business! I needed help with a disorganized basement which is my pottery studio. I have lots of small tools, different glazes and different clays. Tina helped me pair down, label and organize. It now feels airy , comfortable and most importantly I can find what I need when I need it. I strongly recommend Tina Curtis!
