  First American Title in Greeley CO is my go to title company! They are professional, communication is prompt, and they work hard to keep closings on time when there are last minute requirements from lender are thrown on them! Excellent company to support my business!

  Recently closed on our house in Ault, CO and our real estate agent chose First American Title in Greeley, CO. Dealing with escrow agent, Leslie Johnson, was the worst of the worst people I have ever had to deal with! Examples; I informed her that our mortgage company had recently paid our taxes and could we remove that from the closing cost. Her reply was " Might be but treasures website not posted so we cannot do anything with that " . That was her complete response. Because we were closing on the 6th of June and we would be making another mortgage payment before closing, I asked her when she would be updating the payoff amount. Her response, "I can have processing update the payoff for ya and if taxes are posted, I can reflect that, if not, I pay and then you will be refunded from either the county or me based on who’s payment gets posted first. Tis the season 😊😊 LOL ". Never answered my question of 'when?'. I asked to have contact information for her supervisor and she never replied! The final horrible experience I had with her was at closing. I asked for a transaction receipt for the wire transfer to our new title company. She had a big ugly scene with me, in front of seven other people, about how I was stupid for me to ask and that she is Professional". She never provided the receipt. There are many more examples of her cavalier and unprofessional attitude. Too many to list here. I would totally avoid this office! She is a piece of work. I don't recall ever feeling so angry and someone I am paying.

  We had a less than stellar experience with this title company. We were purchasing a home in CO and were stationed in GA at the time while my husband was finishing his active duty contract. We had to follow up quite a bit with the representatives assigned to us from First American Title. We asked for information multiple times before it was confirmed weeks later. Everything was done very last minute & very rushed for our closing which was frustrating because we had tried to confirm information for weeks prior to the closing. They also messed up our contact information that they gave to our new HOA & the Water Company which led to us chasing both of those entities for the first 2 months of our time out in CO. We finally resolved it today with those entities & they both advised us that the Title Company had given them incorrect information so we never received anything. This also meant we were behind on payments that were due. We would not do business with them again. I do not like to leave negative reviews but this was a very frustrating process. A lot of money is spent in the house buying process so you really do hope that those that you work with make that process easier instead of more difficult. Unfortunately, we had a more difficult experience.
