What is the process for getting a business sign?
All signs we create involve a similar process and workflow. The steps are Consultation, Survey, Design, Budget / Quoting, Project Approval, Permitting, Fabrication, and Installation. For non-illuminated signs, this process can happen in a relatively short time frame - 3 to 5 weeks if an LED illuminated sign is your preference, or required by your property owner in your lease's sign criteria. The timeframe for the process is longer due to fabrication times - 6 to 8 weeks. These are general planning guidelines for new signage solutions. Being prepared with a good business branding guide, identifying and selecting brand colors using Pantone color specs, preparing vector art files for your brand logo, and having a clear understanding of your landlord's requirements and any city governance about sign allowances for your business location are always helpful before starting a sign project to avoid any surprises and unexpected costs. How do I get a sign removed?

Do I need a sign permit?

The materials we use in the fabrication of commercial signs are of the highest quality and last many years. LED technology is designed to last 50k hours and is energy efficient. Graphic films are UV protected to resist fading and weathering. Vision Visual uses the PPG Mathews paint system for priming, coating, and protecting your sign. Signs can last 10 to 20 years when maintained properly.
Can a sign be relocated?
In most instances, if a sign is in good operational condition, it can be relocated or repurposed from one storefront to another. The sign will need to comply with the city sign code for the new business location - this may be possible, but the sign size, style characteristics, and design will need to conform to all local and property ownership requirements. What type of sign is the most common?
By far the most common type of business sign is illuminated channel letters. They come in several different styles - front lit faces or rear halo lit letter shapes. The letters are fabricated to be mounted to walls using two different methods - flush mount directly to the wall with the electrical components mounted remotely on the interior of the building near the sign location, or mounted on a raceway or wireway mounted on the exterior wall surface that contains and conceals the electrical components. Unique combinations of faces, translucent films, LED modules, and paint finishes are extremely important to make sure your business sign makes the right impression.
Receiving and equipment for national rebranding programs?
We offer a wide range of services for national rebrand projects throughout Colorado. Our receiving hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, but special arrangements can be made if necessary. Every shipment is quality inspected upon receipt, and short-term storage of sign packages is available. Unloading trucks is done with a forklift, but lift gates are welcome. Transport is done by trailer or the bed of a crane truck. Our fleet includes a 72-foot crane with a 2-man platform and two Altec articulating 42-foot reach bucket trucks. Our UL electrical sign facility provides the flexibility to provide fabrication support for any sign modification or improvements necessary. We use the LVS low VOC PPG Mathews paint system to finish any components to your client's specification. If the project is a high-rise or mid-rise building, we offer swing stage and rappelling services to access the sign location.
National sign program services?
We offer project management, site surveys, technical surveys, permit procurement and processing, and inspection services throughout Colorado for national sign programs. In addition, engineering documents are provided which cover most project scopes - if specific engineering is required, services are available.
