- JYJonna YarringtonAug 5, 20251.0The escrow officer, Leticia Galindo-Glueck, did not read the contract, a signed agreement based on a standard Colorado contract. She made mistakes in the closing figures and then, when we brought this to her attention, she first blamed one party and then gave unsolicited and unwarranted (unlicensed) legal advice, saying that we would need to clarify the contract with another contract at closing. This was absolutely not true and we all refused to do that. The contract as it was provided was absolutely clear. She just didn't read it. She eventually corrected the mistake but in the process sent up red flags to both parties that wouldn't have otherwise happened. In other words, the escrow officer took a position and interfered with the execution of the contract. She was ungracious and unprofessional at the closing, praising one party and refusing to shake the other party's hand. Everyone involved in the process left wondering: what exactly do we pay the title company to do?
