I've had Verizon 5G Home Internet for a year, and while I have no complaints about the Internet service itself, I could write a book about how incredibly awful their customer service is, how they lie about their discount program for low-income customers (Verizon Forward), and how, after a year of service that's still working and that I'm paying for every month, they're suddenly saying service isn't available at my address, which has caused a major problem.
I applied for the Forward Program and was approved. Then, 6 months later they kicked me off with no warning or reasoning. I literally spent FIVE HOURS chatting with multiple customer service agents (kept getting kicked out of chats and having to start all over again), and they told me I needed to reapply for the program. When I tried to do so, that's when I was told service was not available at my address, even though I've had service at that address for a year, have it now, and pay for it monthly. I was then told that because of this, I could not reapply for the Forward Program. Pretty fishy.
When I initially signed up for service, I was promised that I was eligible for the discount program, which I was and still am. Now I've been kicked off the program and can't get back on for reasons that make absolutely no sense. If you have service at your address, then clearly service IS available at your address. Saying it's not? I call that fraud. I think they're doing this so they can kick people off the discount program with no recourse.
Customer service is often a nightmare, with super long wait times, and hours spent trying to get simple issues resolved, only to later find out nothing's been resolved. I contacted them twice via chat over the past 2 weeks and spent 8 hours total (the equivalent of a full workday) talking to people who either didn't want to help or couldn't because the company won't let them.
Like I said, the Internet service has been really good, but everything else about this company is truly awful. They always start their customer service chats saying "No need to worry at all, I'll fix your problem", and then they torture you for hours and never fix your problem.
I don't know what other Internet company to recommend - they are all greedy, stupid expensive, and o have bad customer service. I'm trying to find one that's decent, because Verizon has done nothing but lie, mislead, and disappoint me time and again.

I went by the garden of the gods location in Safeway plaza & the guy there was not helpful, after running my credit I asked him if we could do a prepaid account & he literally told me he was still in training and didn't know how to set it up, but that's only because he wasn't going to get paid for it. Also, how can you possibly be in training and you're the only one in the store. He was lazy and rude. Would not recommend that location or that staff, unfortunately I didn't catch his name. But he is Hispanic black hair with glasses. #horrible
