- RRRichApr 19, 20231.0Follow up to the review, I contacted the email they provided in their response. They responded that sending All of you private financial information via a plaintext email over the Internet is standard policy for them. They don't require their offices send emails using encryption like every other financial institution. ----- After I wrote this I went to send a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - I then discovered that this company has a D- rating. Run, don't walk, to another title company. Yes, I have completed many many commercial escrows. 100% disregard for properly transmitting personal private information. They emailed my complete loan application including financial information and social security number through a plain unencrypted email. This was after the bank told them that was a very bad idea. The manager involved keeps insisting they followed their proper security protocols - that is the scary part that either he is ignorant or that really is how First American treats your information.

The bank did send the wire and they said they did not receive it and after many calls from the bank they admitted that they had received the wire. This is the first company that when they receive the wire on Friday they will wait until Monday to close and when they are asked why, the answer is by the law!!. So, what is the purpose of sending by wire. They also never return the phone messages. They return your email after a day. They also did not return the bank senior manager’s call with more than 7 attempts.
