- HHhawkes3Aug 14, 20201.0Everything about our experience with First American Title was messy, inefficient, delayed, and disorganized. The beginning process to the actual signing was riddled with errors and mistakes -- mistakes that are STILL being fixed more than 14 days after the close of escrow. The escrow officer was unable to calculate the exact or correct amount of our loan and we had to receive a refund; the bank provided them with all of the numbers and they still couldn't figure it out. We still have not received any paperwork or the title from the close. Our home insurance company still has not received payment from First American Title. We have received multiple phone calls from First American Title's call center where someone being paid to read a useless script to us was calling with no obvious purpose or reason. And all of this despite that fact that we even signed and paid the deposit for our house one week EARLIER than required. Seems like all of the things that First American Title was supposed to do were not done. Hard to recommend them to anyone in the future.
