  Called them twice, after keeping me in the line for 25 min, representatives were not able to answer a very simple question about their application form, they told me they are going to put me on hold and transfer my call to a department that can answer the questions, both times they hanged up instead of the transfer! No one called me back from BDC, extremally unprofessional.

  The BDC is the bank for entrepreneurs. They are incredible champions of small business in Canada and provide capital when other lenders won't. While their rates aren't as good as the big banks, they will help with other intangibles that no other "banker" would. Our account manager even set me up with my amazing accountant I have now worked with for 4 years. They will help finance your business with working capital term loans and may only require a personal guarantee and can postpone interest payments for up to 6 months (until you actually start getting paid). They work closely with other strategic and important organizations like Futurpreneur and Export Development Canada that can also help your business greatly. I have only had exceptional experiences working with the team at the BDC and have taken 3 expansion loans for my growing small business. We have also used their online digital consulting services which were also excellent and paid for by smaller loan structures. Anyone looking for capital for their business needs to consult with the BDC as one important option to consider.
