- BSBrett ShouldersApr 14, 20202.0I finally was able to reach First American Title to schedule 2 days before closing because I still had not been contacted or had my calls returned. I was then required to go to their location to sign at a table in front of the building because they said no notary was willing to travel because of COVID-19 which was not true because the notary told me they had been doing that all week. The notary indicated that they were signing at customers homes outside exactly like we did at their building. It was very inconvenient given the fact that I was not contacted by First American Title about closing at all and had to make arrangements on such a short notice. Subpar customer service and by far the worst experience I’ve had closing on a house. I will say that despite the lack of communication they did get everything filed without messing anything up. So they are not completely incompetent which is why they get 2 stars but I recommend you find another title company.
