- LLLidiya LoveAug 15, 20251.0A couple of weeks ago, I came to this parking lot to return a package at UPS. I noticed this establishment was new and was actually interested in going inside to get more information and possibly make an appointment after dropping off my packages. As I parked in a “Body Orbit Customers Only” spot, a blonde-haired woman (who I assume works at the front) approached my car and, in a very rude tone, told me I couldn’t park there. This interaction left a poor impression, especially for a new business. As a business owner and marketing agent myself, I’d like to offer a piece of constructive feedback: situations like this are an opportunity to create a positive first impression and potentially gain a customer. A better approach would have been to politely say, “Hello, I noticed you’re in a reserved parking spot for our clients—do you have an appointment with us today?” If the answer was no, following up with, “No worries! Let me give you some information on our services in case you’re interested,” would have turned the situation into a positive engagement. Good customer service is not just about enforcing rules it’s about creating a welcoming experience that encourages people to come back. Unfortunately, this interaction did the opposite for me.
