Really disappointed here. I saw Brett a couple months ago. Absolutely loved her and what she did with my hair. Scheduled another appointment for 6pm yesterday. I get there at 5:45 and the place looks closed. Think to myself maybe I’m the only appointment tonight and she will show up and unlock or something. No letter on the door, no call, no post on Facebook. I wait. Until 6:15 I waited. I have two kids under two so getting out of the house for this is no small feat. No one showed. No one answered my calls or texts. Left a voicemail and haven’t heard anything a day later. Tried calling again and got voicemail again. Things happen, I get that. But no call? After you confirmed my appointment two days prior? Your hours say you’re open until 9 so why were you closed for my 6pm appointment? If I canceled you would charge my card $45 but here you do this to me. Really upset that finally found a stylist I loved but I can’t see her because the place sucks. Update: I found Brett somewhere else! So happy to have found her. Thanks Tease for not updating your clients. Won’t be returning to you.

This is the first time ive ever had anything negative to say about the salon at all, ive been a client since i moved to lakewood in 2011, wearing a modified shag since the 90s.
This past year has been a non stop crisis for me and getting my first haircut in a over year meant a lot. I spent a ton of time specifically lookig for videos that actually show how to cut the hair for that specific look, guidelines and all. 2 weeks ago I called in as a walk in and had Brett. She was absolutely adorable and so sweet but she just... full on refused to even look at the 45sec video of the cut i wanted. She insisted she knew how to cut shags, i raised my concerns about past stylists cutting me into a mullet. she continued to refuse to see the video and insisted while it may be products, she knows how to cut this style. Just completely refused to even look at the still image of the cut or even look at the video i brought.
Unfortunately while the back of the haircut is phenomenal, the front is a full on mullet with super thick short sections by the front of my face, something i specified i really really didnt want due to my facial shape and (sweating). Its not just a light fringe, it is big thick. This was a sad cherry on the cake of a terrible year for me.
Theres really nothing that can be done i suppose, cant add hair to hair and lord knows i dont want it shorter....
But stylist shouldn't act like they are above learning more or envisioning alternatives their clients bring them in addition to standard methods to alternative haircuts. Ive given this cut about 2 weeks to settle and vibe, but honestly i really really cant stand it at all.... mullet. Just what i didnt want! I guess its just that it takes less than a minute to watch the video and just see what im requesting. There are dozens of different ways to cut shags!
Itll take some time to grow back out again, BigSad, but first disappointment in 15yrs i guess isnt too bad. I guess ill come back next year and try again.

Morgan is the best! She understands your vision and makes it happen. She is also very personable and truly tries to deliver the best result possible. She is a color specialist and is good at cuts.
The salon is clean and easy to schedule. There are parking lots around and street parking available.
