  Katerina worked on muscles that were tight and relieved my tension. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Nancy explained all the steps of the facial which was appreciated. It helped me to understand more about skin care.

  I love this spa- the treatments, the services, the ambiance (especially the relaxation room) are all wonderful, but the service for someone trying to buy a gift certificate is absolutely horrible. I’ve often asked people to get me gift certificates there for birthdays, holidays, etc and they have all had terrible experiences. Although you now take credit cards by phone (which years ago they didn’t) , you either have to pick the gift card up in person (which is highly inconvenient for non Staten Islanders) or spend almost $9 to have it mailed. In my case this has turned off many people who felt that the representatives they spoke to were not very courteous and then instead chose to get me gift cards which were either emailed or mailed for free. You needlessly lost money in each such case. You really need to develop a better system for selling gift cards to people who cannot come in person to buy them.

  My sister took me here for my birthday this week. The experience that we received was absolutely top tier. We walked in and were greeted at the front desk with the most sweetest person! Thank you for being kind . She offered us drinks (wine) was amazing my sister had a tea which was also great. The massage therapist were professional, and extremely nice! I fell asleep during my massage hehe! Amazing !!! The shower had a steam room omg that was the icing on the cake because it’s something you never know you need until you get it. 5 stars is not enough!! I would give 100000 stars! Ladies continue being nice and kind to people and treating us like royalty because that goes along way. I would definitely return again .

  My husband and I went in for a couples massage, and the overall experience started off wonderfully. We were greeted warmly, given warm towels, offered a drink menu, and even had slippers ready in our sizes. After a short wait, we were brought downstairs to change into robes and relax before our therapists came to get us. Once in the room, we chose our lotion scents and got settled on the tables. My husband absolutely loved his massage and said it was amazing. Mine started off strong, maybe a little too strong — at times I felt more like I was being tenderized than relaxed. When my therapist moved to my neck area, it became uncomfortable as she was rubbing near my carotid arteries. I mentioned that my neck was uncomfortable, but she continued working there, which made it a bit painful. Thankfully, once she moved on to my shoulders and the rest of my body, I really enjoyed it. At the end, my husband’s therapist asked him how he liked his massage, and he said it was amazing — to which my therapist replied, “I don’t think you enjoyed yours,” which made me laugh and felt awkward,,because she was right! Overall, the service and environment were great, my husband’s massage was fantastic, but mine was a bit too rough and uncomfortable in parts. I’d go back, but I’d request a different therapist next time and communicate my pressure preference more clearly upfront.

  I went in for eyelash extensions today and was really disappointed with the experience—especially considering the price was nearly double what I normally pay elsewhere. My eyes are full of clumps of glue, several lashes are stuck together, and they’ve been bothering me ever since. During the appointment, the technician pulled at my eyes multiple times, which was actually painful. I did mention the discomfort while I was there, but I tried to be polite and said it was okay—hoping the results would look better once finished. Unfortunately, they didn’t. For the cost and the level of discomfort, I can’t recommend this salon. I wish I’d trusted my instincts and spoken up more firmly during the appointment. UPDATE: The manager, Michelle, called me in regards to the service I received and was adamant about making it right. I have updated my review from 2 stars to 4 because of the effort towards customer satisfaction, which states a lot about the integrity of a company and I do appreciate that. SECOND UPDATE: I tried a second lash technician after the manager spoke to me. I’m not sure who was worse. Long story short, I have lost 65% of my natural lashes from their overuse of glue and needed to see a dermatologist AND it took my regular lash technician over 60 mins just to get the glue off. Awful
