I stopped by about a month ago for a slight trim and it was nice. I was leaving for a vacation on Friday 10/17 so I made another appointment just to clean everything up. I meant to choose the same barber but forgot to select him and was given Maria instead. This is where the issue stared. When I sat down, she was watching a show on her phone and barely listened so I had to tell her twice what I wanted. I told her I wanted a fade on the side from a 10/6/4 and she asked if I just wanted a fade with a 2. I looked at her questioningly (again, watching a show on her phone should have been the sign for me to walk out then) but I reminded her that I needed a 10. I let her know I had a wedding in a few weeks and needed longer hair for it. She proceeds to start cutting and I see a huge chunk of hair fall out. I ask about it and she assures everything is fine. As she is cutting I know I’m in trouble but it’s too late. I’m furious. So when she starts to cut the top I ask her to stop and remind her she didn’t listen and tell her she is finished. She actually had the audacity to say “well I didn’t think your hair looked good when you sat down so I fixed it.” Firstly, a barber should never go outside of what is asked of them. Secondly, the barber who last touched my hair was standing next to her and did a much better job. I didn’t have the time to go to another barber to try to get it fixed so I had to deal with it during the vacation. However, when I arrived home, I go to my usual barber and he just laughs at the awful lines and overall “worst haircut” he has ever seen. Do yourself a favor and shop around when looking for a barber. If you must go here, avoid Maria.
