  Hi All! IF YOU ARE A NATURAL GIRLIE, BEWARE!! I did a big chop(like shaved head) in 1/20 and grew my hair curly to my shoulders(3c/4a). I first got my hair silk pressed by a black salon in Southfield in 7/24 and again in 1/25 and my hair reverted back to its natural state without any issues. It was a really hard salon to get into and recently heard about Dominican hair salons and Yasmin specifically. Their environment is very inviting, energetic, I definitely felt safe there but the last three and only three times I had gone I realized my hair would lack its curl pattern midway down the shaft to the ends. I did find this abnormal compared to my hair before but I thought maybe my curl pattern was sensitive and changed. Recently I went to another salon to get another opinion and after analyzing my hair they told me that they were 95% sure that the salon I went to previously RELAXED MY HAIR WITHOUT MY CONSENT and it made sense based off what my hair looked like at the first salon vs what my hair has looked like after going to YASMIN. I was enraged and immediately went to their Google reviews and of course the first review I read was a 1 star review by Salena who shared very similar story about her sister who had 4c hair and had a relaxer put into her hair without her permission. I have NEVER had a chemical treatment even prior to my big chop, even as a child I only had silk presses...so this was a complete SHOCK because I am so careful with my hair even after getting a silk press I don't straighten my hair again. Save yourself the heartache and $50 and DO NOT GO HERE. I have attached a video of what my hair looks like now vs prior going to Yasmin.

  my first time coming & the customer service was horrendous, they don’t greet you they just look at you with a straight face until you speak i greeted them politely, i asked for a silk press with curls , the lady at the desk was rude she walked away to the bowl without saying anything.. ok so another stylist told me to go to the bowl , she was giving so much attitude i had to ask if she was okay , she said yes & then said something in spanish to another stylist and they laughed .. ok cool. Mind you i came for my birthday … after my hair was done it was so frizzy my hair is never frizzy after a silk press … the lady said its $70 i said why is it $70.. she asked me did i add on anything i said no , she spoke with a stylist and then proceeded to say its bc my hair is long … i said ok well yall seen how much hair i had when i walked in.. i said nobody mentioned that to me i was expecting to pay no more than $60 since the site says its $50 plus $5 for curls.. she said ok so how do you wanna pay.. i would never come here again & will be disputing the charge with my bank , i hate when ppl are rude for no reason & decided to add on extra money bc of the length of my hair when it doesn’t specify that anywhere on the site ! I also felt tingling during my wash & it’s almost like they added something else to the shampoo… that’s upsetting !

  I went for the first time yesterday and I had just came out of braids so my hair was nappy. They did get my hair clean and straight! The curls weren’t to pretty but I just wrapped it up when I got home. I did get a black rinse and it look like I didn’t get one at all idk what happened there! And the ladies weren’t very friendly or welcoming at all!

  Will not be returning. Had a long wait time. I paid for my ends to be clipped and she just trimmed the back by having me to stand up. She didn't know how to curl my hair, so another staff member curled it. The price was so called low, but with all the add on it is higher.

  Very disappointed with the service provided at this salon. I am a customer who sufferers from a form of scalp psoriasis, with this fact I try to give adequate warning to stylist before services begin. I explained to the hair washing stylist that I would need my hair scrubbed throughly to ensure my scalp was properly cleansed. Instead of washing my scalp in the sink with water and shampoo the shampoo stylist took a comb to my hair and began very roughly scrapping my scalp, to the point where scalp felt raw. I requested the stylist stop and explained this is not what I requested. I was met with eye rolling and passive aggressive behavior. As the service was not going as expected I offered to pay for the washing services and left. When I finished my hair at home I noticed severe breakage at the top of my scalp, which will take months to re grow and repair. I hate that I had such a poor experience as this salon seems to be very popular, but my personal experience was sub par
