  I’ve been going to Mario Tricoci salons for hair services since 2017, I’ve been generally pretty pleased with their services, I trusted the senior styles and never complained when I wasn’t 100% satisfied. I always accepted my fate, especially since there’s little that can be done once the service is completed. Over the last few months I really really contemplated writing a review, especially since it will affect someone’s livelihood, however it’s been 7 months and I have real PTSD booking my next hair appointment. So I’ve decided to share a review to the public. On May 31st 2025 I booked a haircut with Laurie, I showed her 3 inspo pictures and mentioned LAYERS many times. she confidently said yes no problem we can do it, as a senior stylist I trusted her. After about 15 minutes into the hairdo, I noticed she wasn’t doing the typical cuts I would see in layering/face framing. And I was in total shock when she said ok we’re all done after a short 20 minutes. I responded and said “wow I’ve never had a cut done so quickly.” When she shifted my hair forward, I immediately and Instinctively crossed my arms… the cut was just a box/bob straight with no layers and she chopped off quite a bit. She proceeded to say the words “It’s so you” “it’s so you”. These words haunt me today and I never ever want to hear them again. She gaslit me until the point that I smiled awkwardly and started gathering my stuff to walk out. I walked out with a sigh… like I said I never complain, but the utter disappointment I felt was heavy. Why say you can do layers and literally not do the typical cuts a layer would require? I’m sorry but to any young women out there, don’t book layers with Laurie.

  Have gotten my hair cut by Aria a couple times now and I always love how it looks, she does an excellent job. I wanted to try something new and asked for a suggestion on a colorist to do a foilyage, something I had never had done before. She recommended Mario who did such an amazing job! He took a lot of time to make my hair look so perfect I couldn’t be happier with my results. I have gotten nothing but compliments on my hair since I left the salon. Aria and Mario are the best !

  Tracy is the best! She transformed my feet - I had horrible calluses and she worked so hard to make them so smooth again. I’ve never met anyone who cares as much as she did! I was originally scheduled with someone else who had to cancel and I didn’t get a chance to check my messages before arriving for my appointment. She went above and beyond to fit me in and still did amazing work. Definitely will schedule with her every time.

  I had the worst experience today. I was assigned to a stylist her name is Mayra she has glasses for a blow out. I have curly hair and as soon as she saw my hair she said I have textured hair and started recommending other services I’m like no I would like a blow out. We proceeded they added extra money and time because I guess my hair is textured . She didn’t finish in time and did a terrible terrible job. I hate my hair so much I been crying since I left .

  I used to be a regular customer before I became a snowbird and a traveler at VH salon. Also both my colorist and haircut person are not longer there. Decided to get full highlight this past week at VH salon before heading to Athen for my trip and the full highlight did not take.
