- EEeleSep 27, 20254.0Been here a few times before and never had any problems, always great pressure on the body and everyone was always great. My ONE complaint is the same as everyone else’s: tipping. 60 min for 2 people was $149 so I gave $30 (which i think is reasonable). They will point to their sign that says “tipping suggestion” (which they’re basically requiring you to follow, funnily enough). While I could have just said “but that’s a suggestion.” and refused to give more, I just let them have the extra $10. Not a big deal but definitely has rubbed me the wrong way. Loved the place but small stuff like that will start deterring someone from coming back.
- ABAsh BeaneSep 27, 20251.0This was not a great experience for me.. though it might be within comfort zone for some people. I booked relaxation massage and received painful deep tissue work. We confirmed relaxation massage in the front lobby, and that is where the discussion stopped. There was no talk of changing the plan, and no questions about my needs or goals for the session. During the massage the person working on me climbed up on the table, kneeled straddling my head and began painful deep tissue compressions on my upper back, neck, and shoulders. She seemed to be mistaking bony landmarks for “knots.” During another part of the massage she repeatedly ran the point of her elbow up and down my rib cage. For most of the massage, the majority of my bottom was exposed, though she did not work on my glutes. She had pulled my underwear awkwardly far down to work on my low back and did not put them back even when I myself attempted to adjust them to cover myself. Overall, the experience was a mess. It was clear that the person was working very hard, but it was not effective or enjoyable. I question the credentials of this person and strongly caution anyone who may feel uncomfortable with unconventional methods of body work.
