Definitely won’t go back after what they did to me today. I don’t recommend Gina for color. She shows up late, i know because it happened twice in a row, and she doesn’t give you the time of day to listen to what you actually want.

Marta is my absolute favorite nail tech. She always goes out of her way to make her clients feel welcomed and comfortable. Her work is absolutely beautiful and never ever lacks in quality. My nails are always perfect thanks to Marta and I recommend her to everyone I know. She is the BEST!!!!!

About 4 months ago I had a horrible, uneven haircut. It was also cut much shorter than I had requested. An additional blender: I specifically stated I did not want layers, and I got layers. I called the salon a few days afterwards, and the manager was very nice and agreed to comp me a future cut with a specific stylist that she had in mind whom she thought would be good for me. She told me that whenever I was ready for a haircut the next time, to just call the salon, and they would set me up with the stylist they had in mind. She assured me there was a note in the system so I wouldn't have to go into detail when I called for the appointment .
Well, for the last 4 days I've been calling and trying to reach a real human being at that salon to schedule an appointment. The phone just rings and rings and rings. Today, in my final attempt, I literally let it ring 22 times. No answer.
So, if they offer to comp you a future haircut, assume they are not sincere. You can't get anyone to respond via phone, and I live too far away to drive there and schedule an appointment in person.
I've since read other reviews here and on Yelp, and they seem to reflect my observation: This salon used to be among the best of the best. Now, they've gone so far downhill. They are indistinguishable from a strip mall Supercuts. So sad that is the case. Many years ago, you could go to any Triccoci salon in the Chicago area, and get a perfect cut and top-notch service. Not anymore.
UPDATE: Brittany from the salon did call me saying she saw the above review (seems they only respond when someone posts a public review), and asked me to call her back. (Unfortunately I was in the dental chair when her call came in, so it went to my voice mail.) The number she left in her voicemail was different from the regular salon number, so I was hopeful that it would get an answer. It did not. I waited about three days to make the call, since in her comment below she "claims" there is a "temporary disruption." For 3-4 days? Also, what about all the other reviews where -- at completely different times of the year-- people could not get through via phone? I called that number, and it rang 5 times, went into another loop (I could hear the click) and it rang another 5 times, after which it disconnected the call.
I'm done.
As others have noted, no one at this place answers the phone. A free (re-do) haircut is not worth how much time I have wasted/will waste in trying to get a live human being on the phone to schedule the appointment.
After this last incident where the call rang and rang and then disconnected, I called another local salon. They answered on the second ring. Set an appointment--for two hours from now. That's what happens with real human interaction--instead of refusing to answer calls or directing everyone to an online system. (I would have happily used Tricocci's online system had Britanny told me the stylist she was planning to have to my cut; without a name, I had no idea with whom to schedule the appointment.
