  I am writing to express my confusion and concern regarding a recent in-store experience involving an online purchase. When I visited the boutique to exchange beauty products I had purchased directly from the Chanel website, I was informed that the exchange could not be processed due to a system issue. I was told that the system allegedly refunds customers more than the value of the product. I would like to clarify that I was not requesting a return or refund, but simply an exchange for different beauty items. Despite explaining this, the associate stated that an exchange was not possible due to the system limitations. This is quite puzzling to me. If a purchase is made directly through the official Chanel website, it seems reasonable to expect that it could be exchanged for other Chanel beauty products in-store. I would appreciate clarification on this policy, as well as guidance on how exchanges for online purchases are intended to be handled. The experience felt inconsistent with the level of service I associate with Chanel.

  I rarely leave review on establishments but considering this is a luxury store I felt like I needed to share my experience, I have visited this store previously and had a previous amazing experience I cannot say the same for my most recent visit a few days ago, I came in repurchase a foundation and forgot the shade number on it, I had thought they could look it up on my Chanel account from previous purchases they asked me for my information which I had given to them and they still couldn’t find my account considering there were several associates in this store and not one could look up my account? My previous experience was different than this one, I had a very nice associate help me with a bronzer I was purchasing and informed me about the product and applied it on me which made my experience positive but this time I felt like not a single associate was even helping me they were most talking amongst themselves, I love Chanel products considering the price point I feel like the customer should be a priority at check out I know they usually give free samples with purchases the lady didn’t even ask me which samples I’d be interested in just picked out a hydration essence and some other small sample which I already have at home, I would appreciate if they would of asked me which samples I’d prefer, next time I’ll be going to Macy’s Chanel counter maybe they’ll have better customer service!

  Jackie is great! I told her I don’t wear makeup but I want to start - so we tested out a few products and she was very informative. She packed up a sample for me to try out at home and didn’t pressure me to buy. Very great experience because of Jackie.

  I purchased an Ultra Wear Liquid Lip Colour (shade 43) at your Oakbrook, IL store and wanted to exchange it for a different color. I live in Chicago and went to Downtown Chicago location with my receipt, but was told that exchanges can only be done in Oakbrook due to a different system. It would have been far more helpful if this policy were clearly explained in person at the time of purchase. Making an extra trip only to be turned away does not reflect the level of convenience expected from the brand.
