  I have not gotten a haircut from a business since 2021 because I have always had terrible experiences and I feel like the stylists never quite listen to what I’m saying. I was in dire need of a haircut today though, so I went into Hair Cuttery for my haircut and a beard trim. MJ was my stylist and not only made me feel heard, but at the end of my haircut I looked like a brand new man and I felt like one too. The stylists all seem friendly and so professional. Here’s the biggest thing though. My beard is not the best. It grows like a monster on my neck, but looks like pubes on my face. Well let me tell you after MJ had like 5 minutes it looked MILES better. I would have never been able to shape it in such a way that makes my jawline look so good and I just feel and look so much cleaner. Will definitely come back. Very professional and nice workers at this location!

  Christina is a rockstar! After years of going to a top salon in Arlington Heights, I had an appointment cancelled last minute. After my nail appointment next door, I went in for a quick cut. We wound up doing a cut with color and to say I was wowed, is an understatement. Fast forward years and many styles later, she still continues to wow me. Christina is professional, knowledgeable and realistic about what can and can't be done. My whole family now see her and I always get compliments on my hair. Thank you Christina for always making me feel and look my best. You have a client for life!

  Ada was super professional and really took the time to explain proper hair care. She listened to what I wanted and made sure the cut and color matched my vision perfectly. I absolutely love the layers and how everything turned out! She was also so kind and easy to talk to. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great stylist. 💇‍♀️✨

  Ada always does my hair when I come in! She’s great with conversation and knows exactly what I want. She’s very knowledgeable with products and any other questions you have. I love my hair! Be sure to ask for ADA when you come in.

  Went for kids' haircuts and foolishly made appointments with specific stylist instead of first available one. Never used her before, just based off of time, date and appointment availability online. We come in and she had just begun a haircut on another client. Instead of another stylist offering to take over we waited 40 minutes while every other employee just disappeared in the back. Nobody had an appointment waiting. As my boys are still very little and I was already there, I didn't want to just leave and reschedule as this was such a huge waste of time already, I left work early and I needed to go ahead and get them their haircuts. The stylist ended up being incredibly inexperienced with just a basic little boy haircut. Every single cut took so long for her to make. It didn't occur to her to pedal the chair higher up so she didn't have to squat so hard all over the place. We just assumed every stylist is familiar with all client ages and sizes and we don't tend to tell someone how to do their job. We just hoped for a good result and not having to get them another haircut again for the next few months. The kids were being held by us and were not flailing around. There were some tears, but not unusual for fidgety little boys who want to go home after a long day. She gave us no directions on how to position ourselves so she gets the best possible angle. It must have truly been her very first toddler and 3 year old haircut. Unbelievably uncomfortable and upsetting experience. Their haircuts are an absolute mess. I could have probably performed a similar botch job myself at home. We usually go to Great Clips near our house, but thought to take advantage of HC discount codes we had. Thankfully we at least didn't pay full price for that. If you know you're not comfortable and familiar with kids' haircuts, please let a more experienced or at least more confident co-worker take over. In hindsight it's obvious the other stylists were probably glad to not have to do small childrens' haircuts and hid away happily in the back rooms.
