I always get helpful recommendations and have tried some products I never considered before with good results. It even has a warehouse vibe. The stock can change, so there are always some surprises! I highly recommend this store.

- NANatalie AndersonMay 29, 20221.0I visited the Altoona outlets store on Friday, 5/27/2022 at 12:42 p.m.. and was very dissatisfied with the customer services provided by the store manager. My initial encounter with the manager ( I don't know her name as she refused to give me her name when asked - she told me that was private). was very low engagement from her as she was focused on putting up shelving in the store. I asked her about a product which she said was out of stock. I ended up asking her more probing questions such as when will the product come in, does this mean the product was discontinued, etc. She was not very friendly or helpful and didn't seem to care about what I was looking for. I proceeded to look at other items in the store and had picked up a lipstick product and this manager immediately came over to me and said, "don't open that, we have testers." I said to her, what makes you think I was going to open it, you're assuming. I went on to question her customer service approach towards me, and with other customers looking on she said to me, that she was going to call mall security on me. I asked her for what, as all I was doing was questioning her approach towards me, without me displaying any signs of being a threat. I then left the store feeling very racially profiled as I am an African American senior citizen. I think this individual needs more training in the area of customer service as she was very rude towards me but treated the other white customer with much more respect and better service. This other customer stood back and watched the whole entire exchange between me and the manger, as she even asked me was there a problem. Needless, to say, I will never patronize this store again. I felt marginalized and demeaned, especially when she said she would call the mall security on me for no reason. Obviously, she felt, she had that power but yet, she's using it unprovoked which is extremely concerning. If you are a minority, you may want to reconsider shopping at this location as you may get mall security called on you.
