- LELisa Earley5 days ago1.0I've had 4 haircuts in the past 7 months( 2 at hair cuttery and 2 somewhere else)and I have very thick and naturally curly hair, I usually have long hair but it's too much to care for, tired of painfully combing through the tangles. Every time I get it cut I say thin it out and I request a razor cut and they don't even attempt to listen to me, I've had razor cuts before and they turned out great. I just got about 3 inches cut off hoping that would help but by the time I got home I had a afro, it looks like I've been wearing a motorcycle helmet all day. I wouldn't have cut the length if I had known that she wasn't going to thin it out because the shorter it is the curlier it is. It looks like there's no style to it, it just looks like a I'm back in my teenage years with the big hair. Oh and not to mention that I live in Florida and the humidity makes it worse, I hate this haircut and I won't be going back, they need to listen to the customer instead of doing what they want.

This time I came in and got my haircut with her and she did such an amazing job my hair was well over due for a haircut and she is very talented and knowledgeable about hair. From walking outside to meet and greet me, to listening to my hair needs and sharing her expertise, …she did it all! I am new to the area and spent the morning looking for a Hair Salon in the area that had someone who could roller set black hair…no luck! I then called two different Hair Cutterys and asked about a stylist who could do a roller set on soft natural African hair. All of my calls and all of the answers seem to point me to the same person…Gemma!!! On Clark Road😄 When I called the salon, the gentleman that answered my call agreed that she was the one for me! He was so right and I am so thankful. My first Hair Cuttery experience in Sarasota and I was not disappointed. Thank you Gemma…Wendy Christian❤️
