Wood house is one of the only spas where I feel at ease and the experience makes me want to return again and again! They truly are one of the top spas around the area and I can’t say enough about them!

This used to be one of my favorite places, but something has clearly changed—whether it’s new ownership or slipping management, the experience has declined dramatically. We were even charged for a service we never received and have spent two months trying to get a refund. Despite being told someone would contact us, no one ever did. The small touches that once made this place special are now gone. The atrium had no snacks, and the locker rooms were missing basic amenities like deodorant, hairspray, and shaving cream. Our treatments were also disappointing. My massage lasted barely 40 minutes instead of the full 50, and although we started late, the session still ended right on time. Meanwhile, my husband’s masseuse talked through his entire session, making it impossible for him to relax. Overall, what used to feel like a retreat now feels neglected and unprofessional. We left more frustrated than refreshed.

I mean it when I say this, but I just had the best facial EVER. And trust me, I work in hotels and hospitality so I have had my share of spa treatments. Will be rebooking. Ask for Haddie. Simply the best. If you like great skin and a scalp massage, ask for her!

Karla is an amazing massage therapist and I recommend her. My suggestions though: I asked at check-in if the clock of the 80-minute massage starts at the massage and I was told yes. But then later afterward I was told the massage clock includes the assessment/chat, and time you are changing and getting on the table. All of that can easily shaved off five minutes. My suggestion is to definitely have the 80 minute massage be only the actual massage time, not talking or changing clothes, getting on the table, waiting for the therapist to come back in. These services are very expensive and every minute counts.

I'll start off by noting I am 20 weeks pregnant. I went in to make my appointment in person for this reason, to make sure that I had everything set up correctly. After speaking to the front desk, they scheduled me and my husband for an 80 minute deep tissue couples massage. When I filled out the paperwork at check-in, I also wrote in that I was pregnant. When I was walked back to the changing room I mentioned again, just to be safe, that I was pregnant. Our massage was scheduled at 1230. I am not certain what time we were brought back, but the last time I looked at a clock it was 1238, and our names were called some time (about 10 minutes is my guess) after that. When introduced to the woman doing my massage, she had a deer in headlights look when I mentioned, for at least the fourth time, that I was pregnant. She admitted she had no idea. When we were left to change, we were left for an extended period of time (my guess is another ten minutes, but there are no clocks!). She returned after speaking with her manager and had new positioning pillows and switched me to a maternity massage. Despite all of the delays getting us started, our massage still ended promptly when it was scheduled to end. We were not even in the room for 80 minutes, and that doesn't count the amount of time we were left sitting in there while they figured out their miscommunication. When she said we were done, I honestly thought maybe they had had another miscommunication and thought we had scheduled a 50 minute massage. I guess the pleasure of lying on the heated table waiting for them still counts towards your paid massage time. This was a Christmas gift I have been holding onto and looking forward to for over 9 months. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of my high expectations.
