I am posting this review to document a pattern of unprofessional conduct, shifting terms, and serious safety failures, not a single incident. My experience began with an online listing for an RV advertised at $6,499. Once engaged, pricing escalated significantly through fees and add-ons, at one point approaching $12,000. The prep plan was originally included, then later removed, and that removal was subsequently used as justification to deny me a walk-through inspection, despite the prep plan not being declined by me. Communication was inconsistent throughout. I dealt with multiple representatives, received contradictory explanations, and was eventually contacted through a generic phone system by someone identifying as the General Manager, who stated the RV was “AS IS” and required a cashier’s check, without acknowledging prior discussions or that I was purchasing from out of state. On Friday, December 5, 2025, I was kept at the dealership from approximately 10:30 AM until after 4:30 PM. At approximately 4:17–4:30 PM, a hole in my tire was known to staff. Despite being a Platinum Elite Good Sam member, I was not assisted on-site. Instead, as the store was closing, I was pushed off the lot and directed to Tygart Lake State Park, because other nearby RV parks were not accessible. I requested the tire be addressed on the lot and was told to “go to the mall” or handle it elsewhere. This occurred after payment, late on a Friday, while I was exhausted, unfamiliar with towing an RV, and facing deteriorating winter weather. Upon arrival, Tygart Lake State Park was closed, and I was only able to remain safely because a Park Ranger intervened. Earlier that same day, Camping World had installed a hitch on my vehicle. Immediately following that installation, my car began experiencing electrical failure — difficulty shutting off, repeated jump-starts, and ultimately becoming inoperable. After two hours on the phone with Good Sam Roadside Assistance, the vehicle had to be towed. When the vehicle was towed back to Camping World Fairmont — the location that performed the hitch installation — delivery was declined, and I was told to contact my insurance, despite the failure occurring directly after their work. As of December 15, 2025, this situation remains unresolved, and I am still dealing with the consequences during active winter storm conditions, with temperatures reaching 4°F. This review is posted for consumer awareness. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.

Salesman Mark was very helpful and knowledgeable. We're just beginning the hunt for an RV.

We looked at a bunch of campers and chose one. When time came to buy it they sold us a different camper even though we had concerns of it being different it was the same model so we were okay after a couple small changes. I was happy with the camper and customer service was good. But it's after buying the camper is why I'm giving one star. I purchased the camper with the Good Sam warranty as well. We were going down the road about two weeks after buying the camper and the whole wheel assembly came off. Good Sam/Assurant had the RV towed to a shop for repairs and they repaired it. After they were done Assurant refused to pay for the damages and said we have to approve for the repairs before they start and I had to pay to get my camper back. They sent me a form to fill out for a claim to get my money back and told me it takes up to 10 days to receive the money. A month and a half later they send an email telling me the claim was denied. So my 1 star is to the guy that sold me this scam of a warranty, camping world and all of its affiliates. Good Sam is a Bad Scam! FYI the warranty was 10k dollars and they will deny paying for anything and it was also very hard to navigate the warranty system due to so many companies being involved and they make you jump through loops holes for answers and the right person to talk to. Most of the time they are rude and dismissive making you seem like you don't know what you are doing instead of just helping.

Got a good price on a used teardrop trailer. Financing took too long with all of their attempts to upsell. Stay away from buying accessories - way over priced.
