I went in to have 3 issues diagnosed and not a single one was fixed. The service department tried to convince me that the noise I was hearing was just the HVAC fan rather than having me show them which noise I was talking about. The showroom is extremely hot and I was kept waiting for 2 hours in there only for them to not fix the issue of my car or even talk to me about it. My first experience here and I would definitely not come back.

Came in for service. Excellent in that respect, but when we went to look at cards for sale, not one sales person came out to the lot. It was comfortable, we were not actually ready to buy, but they could have missed a sale opportunity.

I worked with Tony at Volvo Cars Tacoma and it couldn't have been easier. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. I'm a few hours away from the dealership so we were able to negotiate all over text and came to a deal that everyone was happy with on our EX30. I'd make the drive 10/10 times again to work with Tony and the team there!

In August I spent over $3100 in starter system and other electrical and routine maintenance repairs on my 2015 Volvo v60 at Volvo Cars of Tacoma while in town for a wedding. Six weeks later the starter system began to fail again periodically. I contacted Service Advisor (Rex) who informed me that the Service Manager (Kyle) would contact me. Over the following several weeks I left multiple voice messages with Service Advisors (Rex, Mike) and with the Service Manager (Kyle) and have received no call backs since. I live in Montana and the closest Volvo dealer is five hours away. My Volvo now sits in the driveway and does not start after yet another starter system incident requiring towing this last weekend. I would urge extreme caution in working with the Service Department at Volvo Cars of Tacoma as they have demonstrated no accountability for their work whatsoever.

First and Last Volvo for so many reasons. The salesperson Mike called me after I had done a contact me request on their website. It was mid morning, I told mike what I was looking to purchase and that I had an appointment at a different dealership the next morning. I told him what he need to beat the other offer to get my bussiness. He them texted and said the car I was looking at online had sold, but he had one other and sent me the link. I said that was great and to start looking up some numbers. He went quiet for a few hours, so I messaged checking in. He then respond at the end of the day saying he was sorry he got busy with a client in the store. I was fine with it and didn't expect much since I wasn't in the store. Mike and unknown sales manager worked up numbers on a car I was interested in. He gave me the numbers, that looked great. I setup an appointment with him for the next day, then I canceled my appointment with the dealership in Seattle. minutes later received a call from Mike. He informed me that the manager traded the car to another dealer, that they didn't have the trim level I wanted. That they would give me the same discount on another car. I felt like a total bait and switch happening. It was unprofessional of the manager for trading that car without checking with the sales team first, or know they gave me numbers on a traded car. The next morning I went to the Seattle dealership since they had a car I was interested in. That turned out to not be true. They played games on pricing and trade value, they had wasted enough of my time. I called Mike at Tacoma volvo while at the Seattle dealership asking if he could trade with another dealership for a car I liked better. I was told no that would take too long to get here before the end of the month. I was looking to purchase an EV and wanted the lease cash on it. I came back to Tacoma Volvo, where Mike was with another client, but he had pulled the car up to the front for me. Knowing I had been up since 4am, and wanted to be back in Portland in the early evening he passed me off to a newer sales person, then passed off to another sales person when we had questions we needed answers. I was missing my registration card for my car which would have been a good thing to know they needed if the first sales person would have sent me the list like he said he would the day before. He only sent it while we were headed to the dealership 30 mins before we arrived. This caused me having to drive home with the old car, go to the DMV in the morning wait for over 90 minutes for a simple printout, and drive back 2.5 hours to the dealership. I came to realize the Volvo EX30, is a cheaply built car. The fact everything is in the screen or voice controled by google is okay, until your going over 65 on the freeway and the voice control can't understand you, or it stops reading back your voice to text thinking your talking over the apple CarPlay system. I had to grab my phone and respond directly into the phone's microphone. This worked perfectly, I then called my friend on the way home and she said the bluetooth was fine while I was talking, but once I stopped she only heard bad road noise. Finally, I pulled up to my house to realize I don't have homelink in this car. I messaged salesperson #3 about the bad bluetooth and no homelink system. He responded asking if I was driving with the window down on the freeway. I wasn't born yesterday, I understand to roll up the window before trying to talk going freeway speeds. He then answered my question about the homelink. it's not an option on the EX30, so I now have the remote on my sun visor like it's 1985 all over again. Needless to say this is my biggest car buying mistake I've made. I should have walked away when they traded the car off while working the deal with me. Gives me the Bait and Switch vibes. Now, I just wait for the lease to be over in 3 years or someone to run into this car. Thankfully, this is an extra car for our household and we can afford not to drive it.
