Worse place. I took my car to get a windshield replaced, by the time I went to pick up my car it wad scratches on my bumper. I told them right away, so they went inside to look at the pictures to see if the car was like that or not. They told me since they didn’t have proof of my car they will be responsible to pay for the damage. I got talked into getting an estimate for the repairs, I got that done just to be told by the rudest manager that they will not be going to pay for it. So please people everyone who is going to take their car to this place please again make sure you guys take pictures and videos of your car so you guys have proof for future reference.

I don't leave long deatiled reviwes, let alone negative reiviews. But this entire situation was a huge waste of not just my time & gas, but also the person who helped me with drop offs and pick ups. 1 star only because I was compensated $100 off my deductible after the 1st issue. I scheduled an appointment right after a rock cracked my windshield, unsure of exact dates right now, but it was within a week. I had intended to drop my vehicle off in the evening so the work could be done the following day and then I would pick up my vehicle before closing. When arriving for pick up, you ring a doorbell at the front desk and you wait until someone from the back finally comes up front. Not sure if it was this time or the 3rd pick up, but the wait was quite awhile until someone comes up. I was told that no work had been done on windshield because my appointment had been canceled by safelite a few days before due to the windshield needing to be ordered. They advised a text message was sent a few days before, it had not been received. There was no phone call, no voice-mail, and no email. There was no confirmation that the customer was aware of the cancelation. A tech with the longer blonde hair was nice and empathetic, he gave me the direct number to the shop and a number to contact him if no one answers since that was another issues, getting in contact directly with this shop. Rescheduling was a pain as safelite told me to call geico, geico back to safelite, then safelite back to geico until it was finally scheduled. A few days later, again, I had to drop off the evening before and pick up before closing. The lady that I spoke with on the phone (I had to text the tech to get someone to call me back) before pick up was lovely and also empathetic. She offered me $100 back of my deductible. I thought I was done with this claim, but a few weeks go by and I notice a large handprint. Safelite hadn't come to mind immediately, thought it was me when I had been cleaning my car. About a week goes by and I notice the print is still there, along with large streaks down the center and a few more fingerprints & smugges. My car had been cleaned inside and out multiple times since repairs, so these were not going away. I called safelite to schedule another appointment to replace under the warranty. Call center rep was great, I saw the notes she put on the work order about the markings and how, at the time, I was only seeing it in direct sunlight. Again, drop off at night & pick up before closing. When I arrive for pick up, I am told that no replacement was done. That all they did was clean the windshield... I was very mad, but tried to contain my frustration. Not sure why anyone would think that a customer would waste time dropping their vehicle off all day just to have the glass wiped down. They said the work order notes were unclear and they never saw the markings, okay its a cloudy day I get that. They said that I can reschedule for a replacement. At that point I said, no offense to that specific tech since I dont know if he did the work or not, but I won't be returning to this location for a 4th time, if the markings are still there. A couple days go by, its all still there. Call safelite and schedule for replacement at the manassas location and they were able to resolve this situation in an hour. Replacement & recalibration. They were able to see the marks in just a couple minutes, even in their low light garage. They tried to wipe them away and saw that they were not coming off. I was told by them & a relative who worked with safelite not long ago, that it was clear that the techs that replaced did not wear gloves or quality check.

Leaving this review in the hopes of finally getting a resolution - had my windshield replaced, tech was solid. However I prepaid and was owed a refund for the missing rain repellent. Refund never got processed by the "shop". Tried calling the endless customer service robot line until I got a person, she escalated to the shop again but still nothing after another 10 days, another 20 minutes waiting with the robo line and finally got someone on the phone, they called the shop twice and still no answer. To top it off, my windshield has an air leak and vibrates so I scheduled warranty, only for it to somehow get cancelled by the system or someone on the line and then rescheduled for 2 weeks later saying id be bringing the car to them. Absolutely none of this makes any sense whatsoever and im frustrated with this service. Nor have I been refunded for service almost a month ago, nor have I even gotten my windshield fully repaired. Please contact me or check your messages from your customer care center to process my refund promptly and ensure my warranty repair happens as scheduled this time.

Windshield replacement is one of those things you only expect to need once or twice, if ever. So you don't expect a windshield repair place to treat you so well you think, if I need another windshield I'm definitely coming back here. I managed to crack two windshields on the sane car in two years, and I literally thought, sucks to spend the money but at least I like the Safelite people. Honest, friendly, real people doing a great job with what they do. Makes me wish all car places were like this....
