Bought a camper from them earlier this year. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid them at all costs. If you are in the market for a camper, go somewhere else. You can get warranty coverage about a third of the cost of what they lay on you in finance. Found that after the fact, called their finance guy, cancelled the ones we could and secured them outside of Camping World. Our camper is a drivable Thor 24 ft. Our sales guy was nice enough and honestly felt he was the only one working there with an ounce of customer service. We were told to allow for two hour walkaround when we came to pick up the camper. The guy from service spent all of 15 minutes with us and he was done. As we are driving our NEW camper home, the change oil light comes on. We were assured that the camper would be all set to go. Needless to say, I was extremely pissed when this happened. I pulled over, called Campers World, and was told oh yeah, it's fine to drive like that. Just arrange a time when you can take it to a ford dealer that deals with large rigs and get it changed. WHAT? So called a manager the next day, told him I was bringing it back over there (A two hour drive from our home) and wanted the oil changed and actually wanted the two hour walkaround we were supposed to receive as part of the outstanding customer service they are always pushing in your face in person and on all there advertisements. Spent the entire day there, they changed the oil but did not complete the other items I pointed out to them. Extremely frustrating experience all the way around. We went on vacation for a week, arranged for all the items to be fixed after waiting for more than 90 days for a replacement window on the side to come in. The inside thermostat kept going into fault mode, interestingly was told by the service people there that they could not get it into a fault mode so they could not fix something that they could not see. Many people at the location that I have had to deal with are not giving honest answers at all. I sent several emails to their regional manager and the CEO of the company. No return calls, no return emails, no communication at all. Now we are dealing with THOR directly and told them I want the warranty work done by someone other than Camping World, because they are useless. Would NEVER deal with Camping World again!

Im going to start by saying my wife and I are traveling nurses. We live in our unit and we traded our camper in and bought a fifth wheel to have a better living situation. When we brought our unit home over 2 months ago we notices that the freezer has two giant cracks inside of it and that our ice maker and water did not work at all. We immédiately called them and was told they would call us back to take care of this. It is now 2 months later and we have not heard anything from these people. We spent over 130,000 on a unit with a full warrenty and after two months of waiting still nothing from this place. If they are willing to let two medical professionals go without a fridge for over two months then I would stay completely away from this place.

We bought less than a month ago a 2025 Coleman 22 cmf motorhome. They are full of lies The roof paint is all bubbling up, the door lock is not working properly, kitchen doors do not closed properly, the water heater does not turned on, back camera is blurry ......and so on. The worst thing is that they know about those issues because they were already in the waranty system. We called to another camping world and they do not want to do the job because "they are so many issues". I called corporate and they get the complaint information and......to this day no word from them (they said they call me back in 2 or 3 days). we paid for the paint treatment and on the pick up day they hadn't touch the RV it was dirty, the paint treatment was not applied. They said we are going to do it now you can wait...hahaha they came an hour later everything is done. When we arrived home it was so dirty everywhere and no sign of treatment (none outside nor inside treatment). they do not even wash the tires. They never gave us the inspection sheet. We are very disappointed with the cover up of the RV situation, they just want to make the sale. Now we are calling them and they put us on hold and never come back to us. I do not recommend this place to make business with, I do not trust them with anything. Look your RV somewhere else.

Starts off as a great experience. Then hook, line and sinker. John the sales guy was great, The gentleman that did the walk around with my camper A+ he seen my slide struggling to come in at the time of delivery. Can’t say the same for finance or the general manager. They wrote my payoff down on paper straight off my bank app. Well obviously they were in a rush because they didn’t write the full amount down or add daily interest in. So saying now I owe the difference and it’s in the contract which it isn’t I could probably read word for word what my contract says and if that section was left out well that’s on you. But it gets much better instead of the hypothetical $150 above/below dollars I owe on trade in “Pocket change” they failed to listen to me that my BRAND NEW CAMPER WHEELS ARE PEELING CLEAR COAT BADLY AND THE SLIDE OUT IS JACKED UP!!! So just sitting here with a $30,000 half functional camper with 2 busted looking wheels! Oh and when I came to clear my old camper out before trade in a random guy and sales guy was just walking around with all my personal belongings inside trying to make a deal. Sure I hung up on your finance guy then he calls me back about we must of lost connection guess he didn’t like when I told him nope I hung up on you because he seemed to get the case of giggles. I asked for a email stating all of the information that I was given about loan payoff etc and names of who I have talked to they said it was in my contract well unless yall have a guy named circle there don’t think it is. He must not of learned cursive in kindergarten. Have no fear though I'm in the process of trading in a 2 week old to me camper with a way better dealer, so you definitely won’t have to hear from me again. Sad to because I could of pushed quite of bit of business through those doors and probably brought your sales up during the slower month which I talked so good about yall at first but now I can’t do that. And according to the previous reviews in the past week you must just be having a horrible week. I believe in second chances sure but if my phone rings and it’s yall it better come with an apology. I won’t hold my breath though.

If we could give Erica at Camping World in Thornburg, VA more than 5 stars, we absolutely would. From the moment we met her, we knew she was different — not your typical salesperson. She truly went above and beyond to help us find the right camper, and she did it with patience, personality, and heart. Erica wasn’t just there to make a sale — she was there to help us make a decision that felt right. She took her time getting to know us, understanding what we wanted, and learning about how we planned to use our camper. She asked questions, listened closely, and made sure every option she showed us actually fit what we were looking for. Her personality is incredible — she’s friendly, funny, down-to-earth, and genuinely cares about her clients. By the end of the process, it felt less like working with a salesperson and more like working with a friend who truly had our best interests at heart. Before we met Erica, we had been working with another salesman from a different Camping World location in Manassas, and that experience left us frustrated and overwhelmed. We were being bombarded with calls, texts, and emails about campers that didn’t even come close to what we wanted. It felt pushy and impersonal. But the second we started working with Erica, everything changed. She respected our time, paid attention to what we said, and made the process smooth and enjoyable. Now, to be completely honest — we didn’t get exactly what we wanted for our trade-in. Normally, that would’ve been a dealbreaker. If it had been anyone else, we probably would’ve walked away. But Erica made such a strong impression with her kindness, honesty, and professionalism that we wanted to buy from her. Her energy and dedication completely outweighed any frustration we felt. She made us feel seen, heard, and appreciated — and that’s rare these days. She showed us multiple options, including ones we hadn’t even considered, and somehow managed to find the perfect fit that checked all our boxes (and then some). She explained every detail clearly and never once made us feel pressured or rushed. You could tell she genuinely wanted us to be happy with our purchase — not just that day, but for years to come. We’re beyond thankful for everything Erica did for us. She’s hands-down the best salesperson we’ve ever worked with, and she’s the reason we’ll be recommending Camping World Thornburg to everyone we know — friends, family, coworkers, and even random RV enthusiasts we meet on the road. We’ll absolutely be back for our next camper, and when that day comes, there’s no question who we’ll be looking for — it’ll be Erica, every single time. Thank you, Erica, for being such a bright light in the buying process, for treating us like real people, and for helping us find the perfect camper. You’ve truly earned the title of “World’s Best Saleswoman.”
