I didn't even realize that Sheehy Ford's slogan is, 'It's Easy' until I was almost done buying my new truck (2025 F-150 King Ranch Crewcab). I made a comment to the Finance Manager, Zach McCready, something to the effect that I was impressed by how easy this whole transaction had been. Zach said that if it wasn't that they all might as well just pack it up and go home then he pulled his jacket back to reveal their Slogan, 'Sheehy Ford -- It's Easy'. The Sales Manager, David Hull and Salesman, Maxx Manu were in the room at the time, and we all got a good laugh out of that one. But, no joke, it WAS EASY! All three teammates truly worked as a team and were super responsive right up until the time I left my house for what should have taken 2 1/2 hours but took me 4 1/2 because, well it's I-95 and the DC Metro area. I have to really want something and/or be serious to drive up that way for anything, so I was glad to not be met with the all too typical 'Bait and Switch' tactics that dealers often use. In addition, the prices were transparent and remained that way throughout the entire process...no last-minute changes or add-ons that I wasn't pre-informed about OR didn't want after they were thoroughly explained and then offered by Zach. Speaking of Zach, he also let me know EXACTLY how much the dealer made on Ford's Extended Service Plan and the Maintenance Plan by selling it there versus after purchase, however, surprisingly, the price was LESS than calling Ford Protect direct. David went out of his way to try to source a Leer topper for my 2025 King Ranch with Pro-access/Multi-pro tailgate but sadly, Ford did not have a part number for one that fit even though Leer makes a top to fit that truck. No worry, David and Zach worked together and came up with a plan to add the topper into the loan and then cut a check back for what a Leer topper would have been through the dealer as an installed option ($4599) so that I could go out to a Leonard Truck Accessories and source one myself (which I did). David also drove my trade-in and told me he appreciated the fact that I sent him pictures of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly so that we could build a trusting relationship from the start. As a result, after driving and looking at my truck (my beloved Ol' Blue 2006 F-150 XLT Supercab 4x4) of which I was the second owner, had since 19,000 miles and for the last 14 year's and had meticulously upkept, he ended up generously giving me almost twice wholesale value on the truck which was much appreciated. It didn't go too far on an $80,000 truck, but it paid for my tax/title and license and a bit of my Maintenance Plan or Extended Service Plan or vice-versa. Lastly, when I was looking the truck over top to bottom to take final delivery, I pointed out to Maxx two significant chips in the painted front bumpers on the truck. Maxx went directly into the dealership to discuss this with David, the Sales Manager, who did not hesitate to say he would take care of the issue through a sister Ford dealership in Richmond since that is significantly closer and easier for me to travel to. They figured that even though it was wrapped in plastic in transit, a rock must have been thrown from the road and chipped the bumper. Maxx then spent a significant amount of time getting my truck connected to Ford Pass and explaining many of the essential Bells and Whistles. That helped me when on the way home on I-95 after traffic cleared up and I could turn on the Cruise Control, Bluecruise came up on the instrument panel telling me that it could take over if I wanted it to. So, after a long day that at that point was heading towards a 12-hour day, I gladly took Bluecruise up on that offer! So far, I LOVE my truck which I have appropriately named 'Elvis' because it is a KING Ranch and Elvis was the King of Rock and Roll and went to Basic and Advanced Training in the Army in Fort Hood, Texas.
I know where I will recommend others go to get their Dream Truck in the interim 14 years or so it takes me to drive back up and get another. 🙂
