  What a great experience on the purchasing my first camper! Jack Andrews was an expert salesman, nothing but professional and the manager Jacob Downer went at our pace to get us the camper we wanted! Couldn't asked for better purchasing experience!

  This Roanoke location is very unprofessional. I went to purchase a camper on Monday. I wanted to possible finance or do a cash deal. They got my information and the salesman name Guy never returned my call after he stated he would. I made several calls and finally reached someone in the Finance Dept on Friday, for that gentleman to tell me that they don’t do cash deals on campers. I am now at another Camping World in Colfax, NC today which is Saturday and is dealing with “Taco Joe” and he is absolutely AMAZING and I got a great deal on a camper. I did a cash deal and will be leaving with it today. I am so excited. I would recommend anyone to come to the Colfax location instead of Roanoke.

  Terrible experience with this place, came in and put down a 5,000$ deposit and before we did we had discussed with them that we wanted the couch switched out from theater seats to a pull out bed incase we had friends go camping with us. They said it’s perfectly do able. After we put down the deposit and signed all the paperwork, they refused to switch it out because “ they wasn't making any money off of it” after we was paying 42,000$ cash for the camper. So we got our deposit back. And I will never ever do business with them again.

  This review is for service dept which is very difficult to reach or get to return calls or emails on updates. Yes once you get them the people are great to talk to. They also had to replace item in camper thru insurance and i knew I had to pay deductible and freight, down side is they robbing people on this because they wanted to up charge the freight more then originally was. So ask if you run into this always ask for your freight bill, your paying for it so you should get it.

  We had originally went to a competitor in a search for a good travel trailer and when they kept us waiting, failed to pull the deposit we were to put up, and dragged their feet getting us up and out the door with a camper, we decided to give Camping World a chance. We were not disappointed… Sam is THE go-to salesman. If you go - he is the one to see. We told him what we were looking for and he pulled up his inventory and found six potential campers for us to see. He knew his products and he delivered on what he was selling. For someone who just started out about 18 months ago in the sales department, he had come a long way - having sold over 100 units in 2025. Most of all, he followed through and was patient as we deliberated as to which one we wanted to buy. Jacob, the sales manager, was very professional and was on the same page with Sam and took great care of us. No promises were made that were not followed through. I cannot tell you how well this process went. We got everything we wanted and purchased a newer camper than we figured we would get. The whole experience was way over and above what we expected. I will buy from them again.
