I caught a random flat on my normal Leesburg commute and got towed to the NTB at 605 E Market St, Leesburg, VA 20176, where I somehow walked in for one tire issue and walked out with four brand new tires and a head ache. The technician immediately warned me I “might feel a slight pulling” because, while mounting the tires, they just so happened to discover I needed new struts, how convenient. Then he then quoted me $830 worth of work. I told him I was literally driving to Georgia, and he says “It’ll be fine, just get them done when you get back.”
I drove off and my car started rumbling like it was auditioning for Stomp the Yard. Brand‑new tires should not make your car sound like a washing machine full of bricks. So I called NTB, and Anastasia answered the phone like she had my number saved under “Incoming Complaint.” She told me to bring it back in, sounding way too prepared.
I show up the next day, and before even glancing at the car, she confidently announces they worked on my shocks wasn’t alll I likely needed which is fascinating, because my paperwork clearly says struts, and those are not the same thing unless you’re doing NTB math. Then she spins the Wheel of Random Car Parts again and says, “Actually, we should’ve done your rotors.” At this point, I’m convinced they diagnose cars using a Magic 8 Ball.
I called her out, asked for my money back, and then called the police on me, a veteran simply asking why his car now sounds like a lawnmower with asthma.
She also called her boss, Dennis, who was at another NTB in Sterling, so now I’m wondering if this is a multi‑location franchise of foolishness. Dennis promised to call me within 24 hours. It’s been longer than that, and I’m assuming he’s still “on his way.”
Also in the original payment for the struts Anastasia originally denied me the veteran discount, claiming it would somehow increase my cost (???). Which is better then when I paid for the tires and the guy, I’m assuming who is Dennis said they don’t even have one.
This whole experience was manipulative, dishonest, and honestly impressive in its level of incompetence. They took my money, made my car worse, lied about the work they performed, denied a veteran discount with math that defies physics, and then hid behind law enforcement instead of fixing their own mistakes. As someone who tries to treat people with respect, I do not appreciate being taken advantage of by people who apparently diagnose vehicles using Mad Libs.
Avoid the NTB in Leesburg like your brakes depend on it, because they do.
