I had a rear window replaced on a 2012 Tundra. Regrettably I've had multiple appointments with Safelite in the past for the front windshield and the rear without fault. Hence not deeming this particular location a 1-star.
I made the appointment for 0800 and advised I'd be staying with the truck as I had no other means of transportation. I was nearly there for seven hours with little to no communication from staff as to why. A job that should've taken 2-4 hours (their words, not mine).
I was advised at the 4.5 hour mark that slider windows took a bit more time and "Should be another 25 minutes." At the 5 hour mark I was told the bolts for my seatbelts "Were stripped by someone..." and they couldn't put my rear seatbelts back in, that they'd go and try to find the bolts to replace the stripped ones. I advised them Safelite was the only company who did the last rear window and thus if they were stripped, it was because of them. Forty-five minutes passed before the tech returned and "Couldn't find appropriate bolts and they'd have to order from Toyota." So I was handed the keys to my truck that was now unsafe for passengers in the rear. I honestly admitted I didn't often have rear passengers so I could make due with working around the problem until they repaired it.
I left with the expectation the company would reach back out once they acquired the bolts. When there was radio silence for two weeks I stopped by, physically, and asked for clarification as well as the promised return of my deductible. I was handled professionally, but advised that the acting manager was not in and the staff member couldn't handle the refund process. I received a call the following day that "Toyota dropped the ball" and didn't fulfill the order for the bolts, I can't confirm nor deny the accuracy of this because things do happen. The truck was on the schedule for December 1, 2025.
On December 1st I brought the truck in for the bolts to be affixed to the truck. The wait was tolerable in comparison, but I was assured "All was fixed!" I brought it up to the acting manager about the deductible again, sheepishly because I felt like I'd been nagging at this point, but words mean something with the way I was brought up. I was told the General Manager of the store was on the road and couldn't approve the refund, but they'd call. Reluctantly I agreed and went on my way. I received a phone call 25 minutes later saying the refund would be initiated as it was approved. My first mistake was leaving Safelite without checking the seatbelts. My second was not asking for the deductible to be handled in person. Two weeks following the phone call the deductible had not been returned. I had to reach out to Safelite directly. One email response claimed a check had been mailed and it should be there anytime. The check never showed. As a precaution I'd sent a second email to a different address a couple days after the first. The second point of contact replied at least a day earlier than the first and was immediately refunded.
The bolt's missing and the truck is a safety hazard once again. Shame on me for not checking, but absolutely unacceptable to give my vehicle back with such a significant safety hazard and claim it was "fixed."
Do not recommend this particular Safelite location after this exchange.

The first non-OEM replacement windshield would not calibrate with the safety features even after two attempts. Finally, they put a OEM windshield which they could get to calibrate with the car's safety features.
