Forget the others with low star reviews. I have frequented this place for 17+ yrs. Tom is great. Night time is a different scene somewhat but that's only because they are on edge with the community hoodlums trying to hang out outside the door. Only problem I've had here is some dumb people that eventually get cops called on them or told to go away and don't. This isn't freaking 4th South and 4th West.

Very friendly and talkative if you speak Spanish. They even let some kid cut in front of me. The second I got to the counter, very cold and off putting. Almost like it was an inconvenience that I was there. Then proceeded to speak Spanish and chuckle at me. Stay away from this place.. unless you speak Spanish of course.

Rather than shop here, I pass right by this service station to go to the Maverick just down the street every time. The largest tranche of their products don’t have prices because they don’t want you to know how much you will be spending until you get to the register and, hopefully, you’ll just pay for it. They’re EXTREMELY overpriced. The customer service is terrible from the night workers. They’re rude, unpleasant, and argumentative. I’ve given them several tries and it’s always the same. I work nights just down the street so it’s close, but not worth it. I decided at the beginning of summer that I would sell my truck and buy a Specialized FSR bike for the season for my health, so I have a backpack that I keep my lock and a couple other things in and twice now I’ve been barked at about leaving my backpack at the door. But, they have tweekers and homeless people hanging out in front of the store so I asked the worker if he would mind putting it behind the counter so it wouldn’t get stolen and he barked back at me “no.” Tonight I walked in to give it another try. I went in to buy a hotdog in full view of the person working at the register and once again in a rude and abrupt way, he told me “put your backpack at the door.” I was on my way home after work, tired, and I had forgotten about my previous visit. I told him that a “please” would be polite and he told me that “reading the sign would be polite.” The front of the store is covered in signs that no one notices. So I told him on my way out that I had already made up my mind I wasn’t going to shop there anymore and he told me that he didn’t know why I was still there then. Polite people are hard to find these days, but we can decide where we want to do business and I simply won’t spend my money at a store who treats their customers like they’re trash. I’m a clean-cut, hard working family man with three kids. Maverick is less than a mile down the road and every time I’m there, they have a pleasant demeanor, are polite and helpful, don’t complain about my backpack, and know me by name. My recommendation; drive the extra mile and spend your money somewhere that wants your business and knows how to treat their customers. Let’s see what sort of reply I get for this review. I’m curious whether they’re going to say it’s fake since I’m recommending that you go to Maverick rather than do business at this Sinclair. It’s definitely not fake. And neither is the outline of my experiences there. Extremely unpleasant and unnecessary. A modicum of politeness goes a very long way to improve your business, develop a healthy reputation, and grow your clientele. They don’t seem to be interested in that here.
