    I have bought 2 cars from Sewell (Subaru and BMW). Subaru experience was great and smooth. Got price via email and we walked in and out in an hour. BMW is another story. Dealership is always busy. When i first bought my i4, the final pricing sheet was off by $200 from the time I ordered (we agreed on a price in writing). They reduced the discount that was offered. I had surgery at that time so didnt have energy to argue. Not only rhat we agreed on time for delivery and car wasnt ready. Had to wait 3 hours for finance on a weekday. Fast forward 3 years later and time to turn in my lease. Settled on a day to come over and look at cars. Waited for 40 mins at dealership and decided to come back later. I thought things happen, dealership is busy. Came back another day and drove few Cars. Liked X3 and asked for price. Considering repeat customer and BMw loyalty bonus, i was expecting some reasonable offer. They literally quoted me Msrp minus loyalty bonus. Another dealership took off 10% without even stepping a foot in their dealership. Even after sending a message about competing offer, i received same nonsense price. Considering new gen x3 is polarizing and is hard to sell, you would assume they might be motivated. Clearly not enough. I dont expect Sewell to be rhe cheapest but expect sone honest pricing. I would definitely shop around. Dont expect Sewell experience here. Oh , while i was waiting to test drive cars the GM was walking around introducing himself to all customers. Somehow conveniently skipped me. Not sure if it was intentional but one more thing that highlights the lack of attention to details from this dealership. Skip this. They are not hurting for business so there is not much value assigned to few lost customers.

    I was reluctant to post here but oh well. I've never bought a BMW and after going here probably never will. I will say the salesman was great, and this isn't about him. I was judged the moment I arrived, I wasn't treated like the wealthy high class people they're used to to seeing and it was obvious. No manager wanted to meet me, hell my original salesperson wasn't there nor followed up later. I've bought several cars and I know what to expect when shopping for a new vehicle. This was by far the coldest, neglectful and disappointing experience. The bad part about it, was that I liked the car a lot and felt I would be approved for it, but that didn't happen, since I was told I need to put down a sizable down payment. I refused although I had it, but the sting of non importance of my dollar and credit vs someone who doesn't look like me dollar and credit shows that classism and other ism's are still alive and well in establishments like these. Not a lot of words were spoken, and while I could say more I would've been more accepting of them saying we're closed. If I knew then what I know now I would've drove past there and saved myself a few inquiries, time and humiliation. I still wish them much success with their chosen demographic of customers whom they worship and treat with the utmost respect. Business is business and while I didn't appreciate my own experience I understand the game. Sewell Sewell Sewell

    This review is specifically for the BMW of Grapevine service department. The customer support over the phone was friendly and easy to deal with, so I will give them credit for that. Unfortunately, the service department pricing was extremely disappointing. I called to get a quote for a thermostat replacement on my BMW M2 Competition. The thermostat itself is a relatively inexpensive part, generally under $100, but I was quoted around $1,500 for the replacement. This is a repair that is typically around a 2–3 hour job, maybe 4 hours max, so the pricing feels very difficult to justify. Even using the higher 4-hour estimate, that quote works out to roughly $350+ per hour before even considering the low cost of the part. At a more realistic 2–3 hour labor range, the effective labor rate is even higher. That feels excessive and unreasonable for this type of repair. The person I spoke with was friendly, but the service department pricing came across as inflated and out of touch. I would strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before approving service here.

    Great place to purchase a BMW, but not a good place to have it serviced. They have lost their customer service edge. No longer can you have the same customer service rep to develop a repore and who knows your car. My 2024 BMW 750e has been in the shop multiple times for various issues. It has been in 4 times for electrical issues with the GPS, cruise control, auto high beam lights (have never worked), etc. Each time they keep the car for at least a week and claim it has been fixed. Car was in the shop AGAIN for the same issue with GPS...after a week they claimed it was repaired. The repairs lasted a month, now the same issues are occurring. Oddly enough, my washer fluid tank was filled with filthy water this last time and not windshield washer fluid. Each time I used the fluid, it reeked like sewer water. It is pointless to speak to anyone about it as they are full of excuses. I have gotten 7 BMWs at Sewell, and now I am looking at Park Place Mercedes just to avoid the service department. Not worth it anymore.

    I had an outstanding experience working with Tate Winfield at Sewell BMW of Grapevine. From the very beginning, he stood out by being straightforward, transparent, and genuinely respectful of my time. There were no games, no pressure tactics—just clear communication and a willingness to work through the details honestly. What really impressed me was how consistent he was throughout the entire process. While other dealerships became vague or stopped responding, Tate stayed engaged, answered every question directly, and made sure everything we discussed was exactly what showed up when it came time to finalize the deal. He made what is usually a stressful and opaque process feel controlled, professional, and even enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone in this industry who prioritizes doing things the right way over trying to maximize short-term gain, but Tate absolutely does. If you value honesty, efficiency, and a no-nonsense approach, I highly recommend working with him. He earned my business, and I wouldn’t hesitate to send friends and family his way. I’m incredibly proud to say “I drive a Sewell”!!!
