  I brought my truck in with a clear concern: an EGR P0401 code and a plan for how I wanted it addressed. I scheduled an appointment, dropped the truck off, and was told it would likely be over a week for repairs. I called the next day to confirm they understood the issue and we discussed options on the phone. At no point did anyone tell me they might not be able to perform the repair. Instead, I was left to believe the truck was in line to be worked on. About a week later, I called for an update and was told they were “just getting ready to call me” to say they couldn’t do the repair and that I should take it somewhere else. In other words, my truck sat there for a week with no progress and no proactive communication from them that they were unable or unwilling to do the job. Despite not performing the requested repair and ultimately sending me elsewhere, I was still charged a diagnostic fee. From my perspective, I paid for “diagnostics” that did not result in any actionable work on the issue and was left exactly where I started, just a week behind schedule. I understand that shops have limitations and can’t do every job, but timely, honest communication and fair billing are basic expectations. Holding my truck for a week, only to say you can’t do the repair, and then charging a diagnostic fee feels like very poor customer service. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, and I can’t confidently recommend this shop to others.
