- MPMason PDec 18, 20251.0Camping World in Tyler, TX replaced the roof on my fifth wheel through an insurance claim just over a year ago. Two weeks ago, the roof membrane peeled back EIGHT FEET from the front, exposing raw plywood underneath. When I inspected it, the reason was obvious: they never applied adhesive to the membrane. It was literally just stretched over the roof and stapled or secured around the edges. That’s not a roof replacement — that’s negligence. Now here’s the worst part: the service manager is refusing to replace the roof because “too much time has passed.” Of course it has — there was no way to know the adhesive was never applied until the roof physically failed. A properly installed roof does not peel back like that, period. Camping World took insurance money, did substandard work, and is now hiding behind a timeline instead of standing behind their installation. I’m now left with exposed decking and the risk of water damage because they cut corners and won’t own it. If you value your RV, your money, or basic accountability — do not trust this location with major repairs. I deeply regret ever letting them touch my rig.

We added a towing package and stabilizer and Cam and the staff in the service center were outstanding. The upgrade was completed quickly and the job was very neatly done, including the required additions in our car. It's great to have a reliable service team to back up a major purchase like this one. Highly recommend.
