I just brought my 2024 SQ8 e-tron in for a recall (software update for the rear camera) and an MMI software update due to some errors I'm experiencing. They performed the recall but didn't update the MMI software to fix the errors. They only cleared them, which I could have done at home with an OBD2 tool. Their excuse is that they have to follow the diagnostics from the book, and if I see the errors again, they will look at it and decide if they want to do the update. I'm not very happy with this. I'm going to ask other Audi dealerships in Houston to see if they can just do the software upgrade, which takes about 2 hours.

I purchased a used Lexus from Sewell in Dallas and had the most amazing experience that I sought out Sewell in Houston when I needed a new car in 2022. I bought a new-off-the-boat Q3 in August of 22. The purchase was easy and as expected from Sewell, financing was great, the process was fast and positive. From there, it's been a nightmare service wise. The first major issue was made right but I had to fight for warranty coverage (a broken suspension arm with no signs of external impact, it just broke when turning, and they tried to tell me I hit something but there was no evidence of hitting anything at all that would break the suspension). Now I had a defective battery and alternator at 47 months. Because I tried to replace the battery instead of getting stranded two days before Christmas, they are forcing me into an audi battery and claiming they can't warranty the battery swap. (FWIW the car did not move after the battery was dropped in, it's next forward motion was on a flatbed on the way to Audi from the O'Reilly parking lot because they won't allow anyone to code the battery, so it didn't work.) Having a loaner has been a complete disaster as both of my kids are home and we'd normally let them drive either of our cars and now we only have one they can drive. First world problems of course -- but in a car this expensive how is the alternator and battery going out before 4 years, only 32k miles -- this 100% feels like planned obsolescence on the part of Audi. I expected more from Sewell. Perhaps they are not owned by the same people.

Horrible Experience – Sugar Land Audi
My experience with Sugar Land Audi and Audi as a corporation has been absolutely horrible. A close friend of mine purchased a brand-new 2023 Audi E-Tron for $138,000 and paid cash. Unfortunately, this vehicle has spent more time at the dealership than she has actually had it.
The car has shut off while driving, creating extremely dangerous situations that have nearly caused multiple accidents. This is unacceptable for a so-called luxury vehicle. Numerous parts have been replaced, yet the problems continue with no resolution in sight.
What’s even more concerning is that a service manager admitted this vehicle should have been a buyback due to the ongoing issues. However, Audi corporate refused to reclaim the vehicle, which makes it very clear they care more about protecting their profits than their customers’ safety. This car is clearly a lemon.
To make matters worse, during a recent service visit, my friend was embarrassed and falsely accused by a manager of smoking in a loaner vehicle, which has never happened. She was told it was her “final warning,” despite the fact that this accusation had never been mentioned before. The way she was treated was disrespectful, unprofessional, and humiliating.
I no longer trust Audi as a company. Their vehicles are unreliable, their customer service is poor, and they take no accountability when serious issues arise. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before spending their hard-earned money with Audi or Sugar Land Audi.
