Customer service! Great experience purchasing a Crosstrek yesterday at North Park Subaru at Dominion. Like many, I dreaded the dealership experience and I live outside San Antonio, so I considered buying from Carvana. But in the end I think I got a much better value from this dealership. They stocked a trim that can be hard to find and the price and incentive financing rate had recently been reduced. My vehicle was certified pre-owned with an extended warranty and already had ceramic coating. And they honored the posted price. Great communication and service from my sales consultant, Kris Calderon, and finance consultant, Juan Arroyo, who arranged to drop off the new vehicle for me without my even asking and were friendly and no-pressure. It felt like the sale took only about 40 minutes or less and, as car sales go, it seemed pretty transparent. It's a really attractive dealership that deals fairly and has service that's a cut above the rest. I recommend them if you're in the market for a Subaru, even if you have to come in from out-of-town.

This is the fourth car we’ve purchased from Chris, and once again, he made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. From start to finish, Chris was incredibly professional, efficient, and attentive to our needs. He directed us to an easy-to-use online application, which sped up the process and made everything simple to complete on our own time.
Chris really knows how to make the car-buying experience quick, straightforward, and painless—something that’s often hard to find when buying a car. We’ve had nothing but great experiences with him, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a hassle-free purchase.
Thanks again, Chris! We’ll definitely be back for our next car!

I was happy with the vehicle except the wavy lines in it that caused my eyes to strain. When I tried to get the windshield replaced North Park Subaru Dominion refused to assist me and wanted to just refund the sale of the vehicle. So I returned the vehicle, and now I don’t have a ride. Additionally the sales office didn’t know how to refund the Starlink subscription, so I’m waiting on that.

Fantastic service for my Subaru! As a recent Texas transplant, I needed to find a new dealership where I could get scheduled maintenance completed on my Crosstrek. North Park Subaru at Dominion did not disappoint! Their maintenance inspection process from arrival to going over details before service begins to the waiting area to follow up after service is completed is a model for others to emulate. The staff is friendly and efficient. I love the video that the technician provides, explaining what they did and how they did it. Julian, my Service Advisor, went above and beyond and made sure I had a fantastic first experience at my new Subaru home.

Duped @ Dominion North Park Subaru?
Went in based on ad for 2023 Forester prem. w/22,674 miles. Actual mileage was 28,091 miles. A difference of 5,417 miles. Asked and continued to ask about discrepancy, didn't receive answer until I produced screenshot of actual ad (photo #1). "It was a typo." The whole thing was explained away as just a "typo." Day #2 w/vehicle- picked up a foul odor in vehicle (figured it would be taken care when I returned veh. for detailing and make reday svs.) Day #4 - Was driving veh. and stopped at Stop sign auto stop/start feature was "on." Took foot off brake and pushed gas to go, the engine hesitated, caught and then died. Leaving me stranded in the middle of the intersection. Finally got it started again, went home and parked it. Was scheduled to take it back to dealership for svs. the next day. Day #5 - Salesman contacted me early in the morning to cancel. Day #6 - Was driving vehicle. back to NPDS for svs. and stopped @ stop sign very busy intersection, auto S/S was "on." Took foot off brake, pressed gas, and engine didn't start. Vehicle rolled into intersection across three lanes of traffic before engine actually started. Drove the vehicle to NPDS dealership and reported all incidents. They determined that it was due to a bad battery. So, everytime I need a new battery, I have these issues to look forward to. NPDS had my car from Oct. 1 thru Oct. 10, 2025. Was called a total of 3 times and told vehicle was ready when, in fact it wasn't. Talked to Mr. John Kahlig regarding issues/problems I was having with the vehicle. He gave me his card and told me if I have any questions or concerns I should call him. I called the number on the card 10/10/25 and left a message. I'm still waiting for his call back. When I picked up the vehicle I spoke to the Techs about turning off the auto S/S system they told me it will need to be turned off every trip and will stay off for the duration of the trip. This hasn't been my experience with the auto s/s sys. I turned off the auto s/s system for my trip home. It was back "on" by the time I returned home. I surmised that because I stopped at a couple of stop signs and stoplights it automatically turns "on." But, that's not always true because I decided to take a drive and took photos of my dashboard as I turned off the auto s/s sys. for a trip. (Photo #2) - Turned "off" auto S/S sys. start of trip. (Photo #3) - Stopped @ Stop sign before reaching destination. Auto S/S system has been automaticall activated by vehicle. (Photo #4) Reached destination and dashboard light indicates auto S/S system is "off." I took photos because I couldn't do a video while operating the vehicle. I had also been stopped in traffic twice at stoplights along the way but, the auto S/S system did not turn on during those stops.
What I wanted: A safe reliable vehicle.
What I received: A previous person's pre-certified problems, along with a side of my very own ER visit and hospital stay.
As I get ready to make my first payment this week, I can't help but feel the "sting" of shame because essentially, I'm paying you to treat me this way.
This review reflects my personal views and experiences with your company.
10/27/25 UPDATE: Called dealership asked for John Kahlig, was told he was away from his office. Left message w/Lydia. Waiting for a return call.
10/23/25 UPDATE: Called dealership asked for John Kahlig, was told he wasn't there. Left message w/Matt Shipper.
