The good; close to me, locations throughout town, and it used to close at 9pm.
The bad; when they first opened, the car was washed quite well. All the rollers touched the car everywhere cleaning it very well. Their vacuums are nice and powerful. The blower at the end also would get rid of most water, better than any other carwash I had been to. And I pretty much have tried them all (drive through) in SA.
After a month, they started having problems with the rollers. I had to mention a few times that a couple wouldn’t even touch the car anymore, thus not scrubbing it clean. During one week I had to go around a couple of times each time I went. I wash 5 days a week, sometimes 6. I noticed techs working on the adjustments but they just never got it back to how it was when they first opened. But, I had the monthly, so if it wasn’t clean enough I’d just go around again. Shouldn’t have to, but anyway. Their blowers also got adjusted badly. Because it would just not dry like it used to. Leaving lots of tiny water bubbles that if you didn’t dry with a towel it would be visible after dry. Specially on the windshield. Speaking of towels, I don’t think they use detergent to wash their towels, probably don’t even actually wash them. Just fold them and put it back out. After a few months, when towels were saturated in grease, dirt and smelling like mold or cockroaches, yes, it smelled like cockroaches. If you know, you know. Anyway, I would grab a few towels and have to look them over and smell them before committing to using them. And finally, they used to close at 9pm. A big reason I switched from the other one, they started closing at 7pm, because of daylight savings time. Absolutely ridiculous. People’s business don’t adjust 2 hours early because of time change, and no other business does that either. It’s just stupid. Imagine other business closing early because of winter? It’s not even real winter, this is South Texas. But yeah, yesterday, Nov 2, I went to the carwash at 8, usually the time I wash, between 8-9pm and it was closed. So yeah, they also started this BS of closing early because of time change. So that’s it for me. I’ll just get the circle k membership, it’s literally everywhere, I don’t really need the vacuum, but it’s just $1 extra if I do, the wash quality is not too inferior to these other bigger carwashes, I have to towel dry afterwards anyway, but I’ll use my own clean towel, and it never closes. Done!
