Very bad experience over all! Went Saturday November 15th looking into a pickup I’ve been looking for. Process with the salesman was easy but I do felt sorry for him the lack of support from his GM Patrick and overall bad training was astonishing. I never spoke with the “finance department” even though I was already approved by my financial institution, that made the deal and process worst like they’re against that! That’s when the issues started, the truck wasn’t ready (missing a good detail and the tire pressure light was on, not a big day I was serious and ready to make a deal) None of their flyer on the salesman desk explain the the clay cooley family guarantee and auto nations warranty shown everywhere and said it comes with ALL NEW AND USED VEHICLE come to be that it is only for used vehicles with no more than 80,00 miles (I was purchasing a truck with 100,000 miles) We negotiated a prices of around $27,500 out the door mind you, this is a long back a forth by the salesman no the finance guy for about 2 hours then I agreed on their price and I request the detail, second set of key and to look into the tires pressure light to be fix ( which is a safety issue and dealer needs to fix before selling). It was agreed and I even put $1000 down to help me a little with the payments it was never asked by the dealer with the salesman as the middle point again never spoke with someone above to agree face to face on that! Of course I didn’t not took possession of the truck right there an them because there was a couple of thing needs to be done they told it would take a couple of hours and I should be able to pick it up. Towards the end of the day the salesman again call me (not the supervisor or someone at the service department) advising they didn’t finish it and it should be ready on Monday, nothing I can do about right. Come Monday again sales man Feisal was always in contact with me since the AM but with no information because no one was even giving him an update. Finally he call me at 4:15pm Monday 17 to let me know that they finally were working on it and it should be ready within an hour I advice him that I was working but I would be there around 6:30 to pick it up, show up to pick my already purchased, documents signed and downpayment paid truck to the surprise that the SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE with no heads-up! Only reason Feisal was able to tell me that it was told to him that the they make made more sense to them and more money. HORRIBLE LACK OF INTEGRITY AND PROFESSIONALISM!

Not I’m writing this out of pure frustration. I moved here new and trusted this dealership, but the sales executive Nick completely ruined my experience. I ended up losing $5,000 and getting stuck with a shocking 18% APR because he didn’t handle the deal properly. I had no proper guidance, no clear explanation, nothing. It’s been one full year, and not a single person from the dealership has reached out or tried to help me fix this mess. I feel helpless and honestly not worth In my view, the dealership itself might be good, but please be extremely careful choosing your sales executive. One wrong person, and you will end up just like me — stressed, stuck, and paying for their mistakes. Very disappointed. Please look wisely when you took new car from them 🙏

I spoke with this guy in the SERVICE DEPARTMENT and he so was rude an talked fast as if he was on some type of drug or if he had loose lips. (It's called PRESSURED SPEECH). I was trying to ask questions about the service my vehicle is in need of. I stated to this guy that my castor was bent. He stated to me well if it's bent the warranty company is not going to pay for it. I stated to this guy that those are my words but that is not what the was told to me and that's not whats on document. This my way of describing to you the problem. He said well we will need to do a wheel alignment and I asked him will I have to pay for the wheel alignment. This guy says to me I'M NOT GOING TO LIE" I said to him what are you talking about...he goes on to repeat " I'M NOT GOING TO LIE." I said to him let's STOP right there. Please let me speak with a manager. He would not transfer me to a manager and left me on hold forever. I hang up call back and the service department continued to put me on hold. SERIOUSLY!!!! I had to call the dealership 4 times and asked them if they could transfer me to the sales manager. That was the ONLY way I could move forward with this matter. UNBELIEVABLE 😡

Extremely Disappointed with Clay Cooley Auto Group of Richardson Volkswagen My fiancée and I had one of the most frustrating experiences with Clay Cooley Auto Group. We went in with a pre-approval from Capital One, found a truck we liked (2022 GMC AT4), and signed all the paperwork after being told that the financing was finalized and approved. I made it very clear that my credit report was frozen because I was working with a credit repair company. My fiancée, Kimberly, did not have any credit restrictions. The dealership said it was fine and that they would proceed using my Capital One approval. A week later, they called asking me to unfreeze my credit so they could “get funding.” While I began that process, they continued to run multiple credit inquiries on both mine and my fiancée’s credit reports — even though my report was locked and the deal had supposedly been completed. These repeated, unnecessary inquiries seriously damaged both of our credit scores, and my fiancée lost all of her Synchrony Bank accounts as a result. The original issue only involved my frozen credit, yet her credit was also impacted. We ultimately returned the truck, but what stood out most was the complete lack of professionalism afterward. The General Manager repeatedly refused to take or return our calls, despite multiple attempts. No one ever apologized or offered to make things right. We weren’t upset about returning the truck — we were upset about how dishonest, careless, and unprofessional the entire process was handled. Based on our experience, I would never recommend Clay Cooley Auto Group to anyone. Further steps are going to be Taken and reported to BBB, Texas Attorney General – Consumer Protection Division and others as well as an Attorney.

We had an appointment scheduled, but when we arrived, the dealership was completely unprepared. Our time was wasted while they held two sales meetings right in front of us instead of getting our vehicle appraised. I sent VIN, miles, pictures, and pay off details the DAY before and received a soft trade value. Yet, at the dealership, appraisal was never completed in over an hour. There were only three customers in the dealership, and when I asked for my keys back, I was actually told, “Who are you?” The lack of professionalism was unbelievable — no communication, no respect for our time, and zero customer service. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other dealerships that actually value their customers.
