EDIT $569 for a new latch $500 for labor $60 for the plastic cover to the lock. No do not go here! If they can't get the glass out just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! I'm out over $1,000 because they didn't invest in a vacuum cleaner good enough to get the glass out of the back.
The glasses repaired but I wouldn't visit here again. I had an appointment at 2:00. I was in Texas for a visit and heading home to Minnesota. Since it was December 31st I arrived 30 minutes early from my appointment. I told them that it wasn't planning on staying in Texas and had to to get the window repaired. This meant I had already incurred an extra night at a hotel. I had my dog with me so I walked around the neighborhood for a few hours just trying to pass the time.
I got back at approximately 3:30 to find that my car was still in the parking lot with the broken window and nothing had been done. No one called me about this delay. I went in and was told it would be another 2 hours. At this point I needed to take an Uber back to my hotel to get my things out of the room since they had granted me an extended stay but couldn't let me leave my stuff there until 6:00 p.m. When the car was ready I had to take an Uber back. I had an 8-hour drive ahead of me with a no refund hotel. Since I didn't want to drive until 1:30 in the morning I New Year's Eve, I had to let that hotel reservation go and try to find another hotel on New Year's Eve, this was complicated by the fact that I had my dog with me. When I left they told me that the tailgate had glass in it and that they were having problems with the lock but we're pretty sure that they had it fixed. I told them it was pretty important that it locked since I would be staying at a hotel for at least one night and had a loaded SUV of things that needed to go back North. When I got back to the hotel to pick up my things the hatch wouldn't open at all. I stopped at the storage unit and had to load everything in the side doors putting the seats down. About 350 miles into my journey I went over a bump and the lock on the hatch malfunctioned and my car system reported that it was open. This happened several more times on my way home I had to pull over and try and get the latch to close. In addition to how this delay cost me a lot of extra stress and money there's still glass all over my car. I'm finding shards of glass everywhere. I think they need a new vacuum! I feel like I was just some lady out of town that would never have any repeat business so they put me on the back burner and let me sit there until closing time.

Making an online appointment was easy, but both the online information as well as the in-person information shared confirmed it would be a 30 minute wait. My service today took an hour and 45 minutes. I had a small crack, one inch wide, on my windshield repaired. The technician did a good job and I could just see a little spot where the repair was made, which he warned me about. The most difficult part about waiting was that the room was at least 85 degrees and the multiple plug ins created an overpowering smell that gave me a terrible headache. It would have been helpful to get updated progress or more importantly, a realistic time frame for the repair. I could have left and returned if I knew it would take so long. I also didn’t like that they make you pay before the service is even discussed. I would think looking at the repair and discussing it with a technician would have been helpful and then, pay once the service was complete. Paying before anyone even looks at the repair makes you feel stuck there, no matter how long it takes, which is how they keep folks from giving up and leaving, I suppose. Upon completion, I was send a text with my receipt attached. There was too little communication overall.

This was not my first trip to Safelite. The first one resulted in a two hour wait for them to tell me they ordered the wrong part. My second visit was not much different. I waited and waited to be told the windshield that was on my truck wasn't an exact match and they couldn't get the one I had from the factory. Not wanting to blow a second day I went ahead and did it anyway. I got a free pair of wipers out of it. They are terrible. Should have left my old ones on. At least they did not streak when used. I should have went somewhere else. I would not suggest going here unless it is the only option. Everyone in the waiting room was there for 4+ hours and not very happy. My tech seemed ok. This review is about the shop and not him.

I had an appointment scheduled today from 8am-Noon. It is now 2pm and no one has showed up or called me. This appointment was booked almost 2 weeks in advance. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. EDIT: I would love to add they NEVER showed up. Called a corporate number and FINALLY spoke to someone who could actually help. No updates were made under my account to explain why they never came. This place is a joke.
