  I have had Kevin as a tech a few times. He has always been knowledgeable, and help adjust our system to get even air flow and cooling into all rooms. He also does not try to upsell me items on other visits. So this time when he was doing maintenance he noticed burn marks on one of the capacitors on the compressors outside. Everything was working and he did not push for a sell but offered to replace the capacitor for free if we installed surge protectors outside for them. We have had a lot of surges from center point this year so that was the likely cause and I decided to replace it and install the surge protectors. Most of the reason for the agreement was that Kevin does not try to sell me random services or items, so I trust he professionalism. He is one of the techs that keeps me on their yearly maintenance plan.

  Geoff Jackson and Air Specialist Air Conditioning & Plumbing are Angels flying too close to the ground. Where other plumbers are unresponsive uncaring unethical and chiseling -- Geoff - Shelly and all of the staff out at Air Specialist Air Conditioning & Plumbing are responsive caring honest and absolutely the best. There is no better plumbing repair specialist than Mr Jackson. And he took on one of the worst jobs can be done in toilet repair - and did an absolutely fantastic job. And the only thing he cared about at the end was wanting to know if we were happy with what he did. The answer to that is a resounding YES. Don't call anybody else but Air Specialist Air Conditioning & Plumbing. I'm telling you from hard experience I know what I'm talking about.

  Geoff was absolutely phenomenal. He was Extremely efficient, and concise in his approach to solving our hot water issue in our new home. For three months we have been without hot water in our kitchen unless we ran the water for nearly 8-10 minutes. In most cases, this might be Okay, but we have a Culligan water softener & purifier so we are charged for this wasted water. In conclusion, an A+++ isn’t sufficient for his commendibility!

  Air Specialist technician, Jorge, came to check on why my thermostat was not working. He immediately went upstairs to see what may have been the problem with the thermostat and discovered that the emergency pan was filled with water. He determined that the drain was clogged, which was the problem. Just a week before another well-known company in Houston, Texas came to my home to check on the same thing and looked at the blank thermostat and immediately determined that the thermostat needed to be replaced, but he never checked upstairs at all. Very disappointed in that lack of thoroughness! Air Specialist technician, Jorge, did a much better and thorough job and, as a result, I gave Air Specialist my business and had them do even more work because of the great job and thorough work and assessment that Jorge made from Air Specialist. They will definitely be in my mind for any future work at my house.

  In 2024, Air Specialist installed a new air conditioning system at my house and their technician told me that the filters for the new system were 20x25x4 in size. I ordered 5 filters from Amazon, and an Air Specialist technician installed one of the filters some months later. Today, during a service call, an Air Specialist technician told me the filters were the wrong size. By now, it was too late to return the unused filters to Amazon so that was a loss to me of about $100. If the technician who installed the wrong filter previously had told me that the filters were not the right size, I could have returned the unused filters to Amazon and gotten my money back. The right and wrong filters both are labeled as being 20x25x4. The “actual size” of the correct filter, however, is 19-15/16x24-7/8x4-3/8 while the “actual size” of the filters that I bought is 19-1/2x24-1/2x3-3/4. No one at Air Specialist told me about any difference in “actual size” of the filters until today, and their technician who installed the wrong sized filter previously apparently did not know about the size difference either. I ended up having to buy a correctly sized filter from Air Specialist at an inflated cost of $50 to $55 vs. approximately $40 on Amazon. I have been buying filters for AC systems for 50 years and never have bought the wrong filter before. The filters I bought were in reliance on exactly what Air Specialist told me, and their failure to refer me to the “actual size” has cost me in excess of $100. When I spoke to an Air Specialist manager named Andrew, he refused to sell me the correctly sized filter for $40 since I now was in a bind as a result of relying on their filter buying instructions, and he could not have cared less that the company had cost me $100+. Before I decided to buy the right-sized filter from Air bSpecialist, he did agree that the company would come back and install the right filter after I ordered it from Amazon without charging me for a service call. But I subsequently decided that I did not want to continue to do business with a company that had little to no regard for a 20-year customer. And I had been running into more and more problems with Air Specialist—there were mistakes with the new AC installation, there had been issues with service techs not showing up as scheduled and/or not doing proper maintenance checks, etc. So this was the last straw. P.S. If your system allowed zero stars, that would be my choice!
